Twisted trunk lid issue!

I was kind of the same way as the stock muffler was hanging down on the driver's side, but since I had my magnaflows in reserve I scored the car perfect.
Only looking at the trunk lid and I have to say that your Mustang isn't perfect at all. (left corner lower than the right corner - what is known as a twisted trunk lid.) But as long you are happy with it - it's perfect.

Canadians have CAMVAC which is industry funded and controlled. It's a joke.

https://apa.ca/AdviceforconsumersplanningtouseCAMVAP.asp

You get a bad new car in Canada you're stuck with it.
The general sales manager and I had a good chat about the CAMVAP. As far as his experience in over 12 years he works with FORD, he saw only 2 times the CAMVAP did do something.

I am somewhat happy that he made the decision and bought my car back. Driving now a F150 isn't that much fun. Missing my Mustang already. :brokenheart:

I've read about your ordeal and to say it's a real piss off would be a huge understatement. However, no point in trying to slag other owners' STANGs that received a 100% satisfactory unit.

Listen, these are camera phone photos done on the fly/squat. Everything depends on what angle the operator is shooting. Lean one way and the car appears like X. Lean the other way and it looks like Y. Pics enclosed. Body is as perfect as any other make.

BTW, Why are you still here? Broken :brokenheart: perhaps? ;)

+1 :amen:

Dwell too much on the negative sh!t and soon enough ones observation becomes flawed or worse, mindless bias.

Like many of you, I have had body panel issues, toggle switches falling off, hood popping open at random times and the trunk not latching and having to pull of to the side of a busy freeway to shut it.
My main issue is dealing with an incompetent dealership that wants to pay me off in additional miles on the extended warranty instead of dealing with the problems at hand. I am at the point of just "liking" my car after 3 months of back and forth with dealership. Once you walk out the door at some of these places, I can faintly hear the snickering of the sales staff watching another sucker get hosed.

Try a different dealer.

2015 Ecoboost Mustang - Premium - 50th Anniversary
I think I'm never gonna buy another Ford Vehicle again

:(
My dream car is a Mustang so I got a 2015 Ecoboost Mustang Premium 50th Anniversary package in Guard Metallic color.
Less than a year my passenger taillight started to have some condensation and stop working so it needs to be replaced. Had to go to the dealership a couple of visits since they need to order the parts since it is a 50th anniversary with the chrome on the taillights. After a few months my gas door latch broke and had to be replaced. Had to schedule another visit since the part is not available. My wife had to drive my car and she notice that it is blowing tremendous amount of white smoke after idling. Schedule another appointment for the door latch replacement but noticed my AC is blowing hot air. Went to dealership and they have to give me a loaner car since it will take a while to fix the three issues that my mustang have. Broken AC, broken door latch and a TSB for the white smoke. We purchased a 2015 CX-5 6 months before I had my mustang and we never had any issues with it. We even drove it most of the time and already accumulated 30k miles in a year and had no issues with it. No rusting components with the exception of the brakes squeaking, everything is all good. My new 2015 mustang that only has 10k miles is squeaking and having all this sorts of issues with a rusted joint in the down pipe. What poor quality it is from Ford. :frusty:

own a 2015 mustang gt, and 2016 ford edge sport.

features are great.

quality is shit.

mustang has misaligned body panels and had to have them redo the seal on the trunk because it was smudged and then painted over. pretty pathetic. trunk isn't aligned like noted previously.

random rattles

not to mention the short cut shit design of the IRS.

slow to engage drive after reverse

squealing radiator fan

My edge is no better.

driver's door misaligned.

Passenger rear door is angled odd on top and sticks out vs the front door.

vista roof rattles like no other. sounds like a can of marbles if open.

pathetic headlights (and these are HID's - same as the mustang bulb and ballast)

hatch isn't aligned vs body

i rest my arm on the top of the door card. it's now indented. never put any pressure or weight beyond my own arm.

I'll keep the mustang as the pro's outweigh the cons, but the edge will be gone likely next year.

I have an EB Premium with the PP. After 2100 miles I have not noticed anything in the way of rattles or odd behavior. The panel fitment and paint finish is very good, better than other cars in this price range. With all the bitching about MyFordTouch I was expecting some quirkiness but it has been perfect. Not quite as fast as the uConnect in the wife's car but the display resolution is better, all in all I prefer it over uConnect.
.

I have 33k on the Mustang now and it is still as tight and rattle free as it was new. The paint has been very durable and chip resistant. In a couple of weeks it will be my second anniversary of ownership and the car has never been back to the dealership for anything. I am still very satisfied with the MyFordTouch system.

This is my third new Ford since early 2011 and I have had the same good experience with them too.

History of my car- Bought it used January 3rd 2016 with 4k miles.

Issues- Trunk badge literally just fell off when I closed the trunk in a parking lot, replaced under warranty. Headlight control knob area rattle and a few other random rattles/squeaks throughout the cabin. Cooled seats not functioning properly, even after having the TSB performed. Passenger door rubbing something when opened and closed which has taken the paint off in a little corner. The dealer said they will cover this under warranty but I haven't taken it in yet as I have had the car at dealer a total of 4 times now in the past 3 months for another issue. It has been at the dealer for a total of about 3 weeks between those 4 visits.

Overall I love the car and it's a blast to drive but the build quality is sub-par for a car that stickered at nearly $45k. I'm not sure I would buy another Ford at this point.

I wouldn't consider myself lucky, more like typical. There are far far more people with my experience than those that have had issues
