I love my car but I have to admit the build quality is terrible. Panel misalignment is pissed poor, and it has the thinnest paint of any car I have seen. I had a 12 gt and it was built better, but it burned a quart of oil every 1000 miles or so, and had a host of other problems. I gave Ford a second chance because I love the car so much, but I'm regretting my decision. Sadly, my next ride will not be a Ford. Hopefully someone at Ford catches wind of threads like this .....

Same here. I had a 2005 GT Convertible that was third-world quality. I also gave Ford a second chance, thinking they had really made some improvements in 10 years. I thought that the '05 must have just been a lemon, because how could they stay in business if all of their cars were that crappy?

Yeah, I was wrong. Shame on me for getting fooled twice. Never again.

Every organization has idiots that work for them, nothing you can do about it.

True. However, good organizations make an effort to continually weed them out as they are discovered. On the other hand, Ford seems to be breeding them.

Reminds me of someone on the G8 forums who was in the glovebox in his car and found nude pics of one of the assemblers girlfriend behind the glovebox plus her passport lol.
this for real? I am a member of the British forums and have never heard of this? a passport?

Should I bring it to the dealers attention, or should I just remove them? I think they will put the blame on my anyway.
Don't bother with the dealer, they are only the middle man. Most likely your issue won't make it back to corporate.

Instead, call the Customer Relationship Center (CRC) and express your displeasure with finding shop rags in your brand new vehicle. Ask them if you can send pictures. They should be able to trace the build date down to a specific shift/assembly station/employee so that they can take some "corrective" measures ;)
