Thanks Jeff,

I've had more than one Ford Collision Center look at my car, Ford doesn't want to repair it because they say it's normal. The Field engineer has been to look at it twice and Mario, my CSR said that Ford says it's within tolerance. My passenger door rubs the fender opening the door and Ford said it's normal. As recently as two weeks ago the field engineer looked at my car for the final repair attempt and chose to not perform any repairs to my car.

I'm tired of the arguing with Ford trying to get it repaired. I've wasted enough of my time going to the dealership collision center and the problems persist. I have an arbitration hearing scheduled for Monday with the BBB Auto Line because of the defects in manufacturing and the loss in value as a result. The only fix is tearing the car apart and that's also a loss in value due to a defect in manufacturing.

Ford has offered one car payment for my troubles, that's laughable and I said no. I don't blame Ford for saying no to the repair because I would still go the route of asking for a replacement vehicle. IMO, I believe Ford needs to address the Quality Control issues and stop shipping out busted up cars. It's also foolish for Ford to risk the hit to the title if the car is decided to be a lemon. Better to offer a replacement vehicle and repair this one and sell it as used, but what do I know?

I'm happy to PM you my VIN if you want to look into it but I don't think Ford is budging on this.

I hear you. As the CSM is my highest point of contact, I'm unable to overturn their final decision regarding a case. I see that you do have an open BBB case in our system, so I hope they're able to resolve the situation to your satisfaction.

You do realize that the TSB does not cover the GTPP, right? It's for the EcoBoost PP and the non-PP GT. Those 2 cars have the same brakes.

To summarize:

V6, Non-PP EcoBoost = same brakes
EcoBoost, Non-PP GT = same brakes
GT PP = unique brakes

The title of the TSB is poorly written and vague, but the important thing to consider is that it only contains 2 part numbers - one is the rotor, and the other is the pads. If the TSB applied to both PP models, as some people think, it would need at least 2 more part numbers - because the GT PP rotors are an inch larger in diameter and the six piston calipers use different pads than the 4 piston non-PP ones.

I've been following your issues too and I feel for you. Does Canada have a lemon law? There has to be some sort of consumer protection. I really hope you're taken care of properly.

Canadians have CAMVAC which is industry funded and controlled. It's a joke.

You get a bad new car in Canada you're stuck with it.

I had to vote "perfect" for the GT since I haven't had any real issues except the black paint was all scratched up from the dealership washing it. Something I'm correcting myself. My car doesn't exhibit any of the issues I've read on this chat board ... knock on wood!

The poll should have included 3 options per model: 1) perfect, 2) minor issues and 3) major issues.

I was kind of the same way as the stock muffler was hanging down on the driver's side, but since I had my magnaflows in reserve I scored the car perfect.
