Might be complicating things since I have active exhaust, the valve is too close to the start of where the industrial style single wall Ford tips start from the pipe, probably very little margin of error if trying to cut the tips and try to use something else nicer. the exhausts are like OD 3.5" and the piping out of muffler might be 3"? not so sure, but tips are oddly slanted in beginning to stick out correctly. no universal tips slanted like that and the straight examples would end up probably not lining up good or hitting the valence. That is why I feel for my case, it can only be a slip on sleeve like the black powder coated ones that the other poster put on over the existing tips. For the Corsa/Borla actives, they have a different muffler that lines up their tips correctly from the start, but that is changing out the entire system as only option.
But I am still curious about how the 20+ GT500 muffler / tips are constructed, since the rears in the photos show almost same slanting but with a nice wider polished double wall sleeve? possibly if its exact same sizing, those 20+ GT500 polished tip sleeves could be used to get a better stock look?
