.

It's in your settings in the gauge cluster. Auto start/stop is enabled by default I guess. Mine was at least. Just uncheck it.

You have remote start but no auto start/stop.
What I said you can hit the start/stop button when the automatic transmission is in D and car stopped.

How do you put up the windows without starting the car ? No acc mode . I know how to put them down without the car running.

plus the steering lock only happens when you lock the car.
I can hear what sounds like the column lock engaging shortly after shutting the car off and getting out, even though I didn't lock the doors (in the garage).

The steering wheel locks automatically when you leave your vehicle and take the intelligent access key with you. The steering wheel unlocks automatically when you enter your vehicle with the intelligent access key.
ah, yeah... but you still have to get out... or at least toss the key out the window.

Actually, 3 times according to my trial tonight. I'm not sure how some of you guys are accidentally shutting the car off. It's not THAT easy.

My experiment on the drive home tonight:
Cruise on 65, transmission in D.
Push the start button 3 times, it shuts off.
Or, hold it down for 1 second and it shuts off.
Power steering still worked. I was easily able to change lanes.
Punch the button again, and it restarted in gear; no need to shift to Neutral, no need to put your foot on the brake.

I'm sure at some slow speed, you need to put it back in neutral and put on the brake to restart it; I didn't experiment at low speeds.

Ooooh. My bad. I was referring to the cars ability to cut the engine off automatically when stopped and applying the brake. Once the brake is released, the car starts back up and you can drive off. The Mustang has this feature and you can turn it on or off.

What Mustang has this feature?

The Auto-off feature in the dashboard options turns the engine off after excessive idling. It can be disabled.
