Ooooh. My bad. I was referring to the cars ability to cut the engine off automatically when stopped and applying the brake. Once the brake is released, the car starts back up and you can drive off. The Mustang has this feature and you can turn it on or off.
no it doesn't have that feature.

Generally Foose/MMD make some nice stuff, but that is the cheesiest thing I think I've ever seen.
An unprotected start/stop button is worse than cheesy from a function point of view. Almost scary, even. And a car should be all about function first.

Save exposed stop buttons for kitchen appliances, TV remotes, and video driving-game consoles.

Which reminds me, I need to talk to somebody about this in her car.

Did you know if you turned the key in your ignition it would do the same thing? Don't do that.
The difference is there is nothing anywhere near the ignition switch on most cars. Even if you did reach for something (?) in that area, you aren't going to accidentally turn the key.

But our push-button start is very close to two controls you use regularly - stereo power/volume and heated seats - and it's not much of a stretch to predict that people will accidentally bump it. Hell, I could see it getting bumped by a someone tossing their purse on the console.

It's really not that big of a deal, but it's far more likely to happen than accidentally turning a key.
