Can these new cars be started by popping the clutch?

I don't know, pushing the button wakes the thing up. My guess is no.

I would think that the battery would have enough power to wake the system up,I was just wondering if it didn't have enough to crank the engine could the car be started. Thanks for the reply's

the push button isn't black magic, or some sort of sorcery, push the button and commence with proper push start steps

If the battery is below a certain voltage, no systems will turn on.
So if it is too dead to crank, it would probably not "turn on"

Well it looks like this hasn't happen to anyone and with the battery saver circuitry it probably won't,I'm old school and done it in the past so I thought
I'd throw out there.

Like any other car you gotta have at least the power on (ACC enabled) in order to do a roll start.

You can roll start it if you press the engine start button without pushing in the clutch (to activate accessory mode) then roll down your hill and drop the clutch and boom it will start up.

The only reason to push start is when the starter is dead. Otherwise, jump start.

Yes, you can push start the newer Mustangs as long as you have ACC power (car on).

Car manufacturers need to start including hand crank starting again.

I can't say I've ever tried this on my 2015. Most new cars won't let you do it.

Same reason motorcycles don't kick-start anymore...

compression is too high. If you don't have enough energy stored in the flywheel to push the piston past TDC before that spark fires and the A/F mixture pops... goodbye arm.
