Steve - I suggest that you call Sam Strano. He has a pretty good handle :) on how to set up a wide range of cars including pony cars and is already working with Chris. Based on a brief conversation Sunday at an autox Sam may not recommend springs as stiff as some other guys do. (I'm sticking with FS but love to keep track of this stuff).

FYI: Sam can get/sell parts from pretty much every vendor. Don't think that just because a part doesn't show up on his web site that he cannot sell it. His prices are competitive even without considering the expert advice that is included for autocrossing and other applications.
That's going to be the best option I'm sure. I'd want to be careful about what products I settle on and a guy like that obviously knows what it would take to build a competitive autocross setup.

I've been in touch with him in the past but right now I'm just researching and window shopping. I hate to use people's time if I'm not ready to purchase. Hoping to get a good idea of what the setup would be like via these forums before opening up the wallet.

I ordered some 19x10 MRR wheels, and a Steeda CAI for STP.

Working on coil overs next.

Looks awesome. Can't wait for your coilovers and get this party started.
Thanks,.....my BMR springs should be here on Tuesday. That will hold me over until I get the coilovers.

Sweet wheels! I'm getting started on my prep but it will be a medium budget build. I know this season will need to start off with 19s but I really think 20s will be the way to go once the RE71R and whatever else comes out in 20s is available.

I'm really looking forward to running in this class. I feel like I'm returning to my roots in a sense since STS was created when I first started autocrossing. I was one of the first group to be in the category back in 1999.

I installed the BMR handling springs (SP083) today on my 15 GT with PP.

The install went pretty smooth, they definitely weigh more then the stock springs (makes sense) it got rid of the squat/ lift when you get on it or shift. I wish there was a AutoX on this weekend.

Here are some pics....

Simmons, I got a set of those 19" M350 wheels in Friday. 285/35/19 RE71Rs should arrive tomorrow and I've installed the Roush V3 suspension and a bunch of Steeda bushing goodies already. Loving the way the car is turning out.

It is shaping up that I will get an early shakedown event in two weeks. My FS buddy is getting some wheels from conedodger down in SFR. We're going to drag my car down there too and meet him at their first autox event to pick up the wheels and have a little early season fun.

Steve, I'll be down there that weekend as well, probably driving Scroggs' Focus, but eager to check out your new ride. /des

The 11" wheel restriction precludes a bone stock Camaro 1LE. Their factory rear wheel is an 11". Ouch, have to get smaller wheels if I were to enter this class, but stay bone stock and I can continue in FS.

yep. and frankly, with the 305/30R19 RE-71R coming out in august, i like your chances a lot more in FS than i do in STP!

Yeah, that makes sense. However my chances are just for fun. I will never compete with anyone at the top of any class. It just seems funny to specifically call out the 1LE in the class and then make you downgrade your car to compete in it! I am here for fun. I want to mod the car for cruising fun with the wife or Camaro club. I know it will move me up in class and STP makes sense, but don't make me have to get narrower wheels to compete in it. I want to move to the Z28 wheels, not go narrower toward the regular SS. That's why I bought a 1LE! Who thinks up these rules???
Anyway....see you at Crows this year for the National Tour? I was next to Steve W last year. Was that you with your car?
