Any tips on hot pressures for 315/30R18 A052s? I've heard as much as +10 psi higher than what you'd use on other similar tires.

I've never run these before and I need to get up to speed quickly :)

I’m at -4 front camber, -2.6 rear camber 18x11 wheels, and 33 psi square on the 275 version.

I run the same pressures in my 660s.

In street class land I needed 39 psi front.

same pressures as falkens? That's really surprising to me, considering their reputation for soft sidewalls and other people's word of mouth advice.

I wonder if its the 275 on an 11" stretch that's helping there.

Same situation here. I asked Rob Clark last weekend during local - not exactly comparable car - but he runs low - lower than BFGs. Like below 30 psi. Car is almost as heavy as average CAM C Mustang, just the engine is elsewhere, tire size little narrower. I'll do some more digging with people that ran these on S197s.

I have 295/35/18 on 11" wheels and run 32fr, 28r. Tire temps look good and it feels great to drive.

Maybe add 2psi for 315s on the same wheel and go from there?

S197 guys I polled are running "regular" pressures on them - 33/31 ish or even lower. Definitely not super high.

Everything interacts with everything, but I found going lower in the back made the car rotate more, slide more, and be generally hard to drive. e.g. from 33 to 30 psi.

More data. A top-tier autocrosser batting for the other team (Chevy) recommended ~35/33.

Another competitor with solid A052 experience recommends sub 30 psi.

Anyway, I appreciate the data points from everyone. Now I guess I need to drive on them and try some pressures out, eh?

A friend going to Nationals next week runs sub 30 on his A052's. And runs well. But this thread has given me room for thought on my own pressures. Might try playing around a bit more

Just a couple thoughts. These tires seem to light right off, from about the first corner. Because of that, it would tend to want to make you run high cold pressures so the sidewall can accept the lateral load you're going to be throwing at it.

However, these tires also seem to go off really quickly if it's hot or you're doubling drivers. That would suggest a little lower pressures, to keep energy out of the tire and reduce surface temps.

It might be one of those deals where you run relatively high starting & target pressures when the tires are cold and drop the targets once they're hot.

FWIW, I’ve been running these but at the factory 265 size (can’t find them larger at 19s). For me they seem to run best at 34-35 front, 32-33 rear, factory sway bars with dual rate springs, vertical links, delrin toe bushings and sub frame bracing. Like T said, they heat up fast, I check pressure after 2 passes and may spray them (depending on temp) after 4 passes. They held up well for 4 15min sessions at a short course recently.

Mam 295/35/18 na 11" kołach i jeżdżę 32fr, 28r. Temperatura opon dobrze i świetnie się prowadzi.

Może dodać 2psi na 315s na samo koło i odejść stamtąd?

Not sure what you quoting Steve's message in polish was supposed to accomplish...

Keep an eye on those Poles. They're a crafty lot.
