Was the FWD car the Maxima?
No. It was a 1995 Mazda 626. V6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. We don't own it any more, but it's still in the family.

Feel like I remember you from Maxima.org
You probably do. I joined the .org back about 2001 after we bought our 20AE Max. Still have it, but I'm not nearly as active over there any more.

Ah..I've been on the org since 2002 I think (03BlkSETE). Still drive my 03.
I have zero knowledge of HPDE or autox. I'll be hanging around this forum to learn as I prepare to get back into the Mustang game.

For anyone interested, stock PP pirelli's like ~37 psi indicated on the dash. Anything over starts to get greasy. On my calibrated tire pressure gauge (get it done at work), thats 36psi. NT-01's like 36psi exactly, and I will be going back to those once I get some wheel options in the garage.
I have found the same as well. I ran NT-05 and they like 36psi. I would say if you get close to 40psi or over hot then that would be a little too much air. Tire pressure is something you should check after every other session anyway and don't forget to torque your lugs (I have seen couple ppl lose wheels before). I tend to start right at 32 cold in the morning and check it after the first session let some out, and as the day gets warmer I let out a bit till I hit or stay constant 36psi hot.

Since you list NJ as your location - are you aware that NJMP has a track day scheduled for December 12? It's the track's own day rather than NASA/HOD/etc., and offers a variety of levels (from none at all running paced laps up through advanced/instructor running solo). They're running the bigger Thunderbolt course this time, and I'll be registering for it later today. I'm itching to try out the GPS lap timer I just got . . . might try a couple of different pressure settings to see if any differences will show up on either the clock or the accelerometer.
