I got their decontamination wash, paint correction, and the full front (bumper, headlights, full hood and fenders), mirrors, side skirts, and rear quarters/bumper in gloss PPF. They also did 9yr ceramic over everything, two sets of wheels, calipers, complete interior and glass treatment for $4,300. This included removing and reapplying the stripes on the hood and side, as well as the fender badges.Looks great. im sure it was not cheap, but very smart to pull the decal and re do it over the top of PPF.
That is quite the discount from what I've been quoted. I don't have the car back yet as it's in the performance shop still. The guys there say it looks smashing! How do you like it? It looks great in the photos but in person...
Yeah, I booked on black Friday and got that discount as well as being referred by a guy that sends a ton of business their way helped out a bit as well. They treated me very well. In turn, they're going to get the Raptor and GT Aviator when they come in as well. That is quite the discount from what I've been quoted. Looks awesome
There was a time when I would have thought that at $4300 you were taking the gas. But after getting some prices on my own I now realize what an incredible bargain you got, especially including the stripes and badges!I got their decontamination wash, paint correction, and the full front (bumper, headlights, full hood and fenders), mirrors, side skirts, and rear quarters/bumper in gloss PPF. Oh, this is definitely a replacement! Apologies if that wasn't clear. I ordered this stripe kit. The thing is that it wasn't all one piece, such as the factory stripe. It has individual layers that need to be applied one after another.interesting. that decal looks great for a removal and reinstall. thought for sure you bought a new one. looks like quality work.
Those kits have the actual word "mach 1" on them? Always thought they were blank. Has definitely made me rethink a new hood if the letters are there.Oh, this is definitely a replacement! Yes, for example, see the image below:Those kits have the actual word "mach 1" on them? Always thought they were blank. Has definitely made me rethink a new hood if the letters are there.
Yeah I want to try a GT500 style hood with decal but the OEM FJG/Orange hood decal is like 700-1000 dollars from Ford.... so this is a nice alternative.Yes, for example, see the image below:
The factory Ford hood decal had (apparently word from the installer) it all as one piece, it wasn't separate pieces. Seen above, it came with four separate "Mach 1" wordings as separate decals. Not sure why four when there's only one on the car, and we only ever put one on it. Perhaps I'll use one for my vault door, computer case, etc. Who knows. But yeah, even though not pictured above, the hood decal he said was in two pieces as well - the gloss black large and then the matte black smaller one went on top.
Examining the pictures, it also looks a bit shorter in length than the factory decal (see below), but I think I'm alright with that. I almost went blue for the outline, but decided to stay with the white. Aftermarket stripe on top, factory on bottom.
Definitely! Along with the link I posted above which includes the side stripes, if you just need the hood stripe - check out this kit and this kit. The latter of which has the roof as well as decklid stripe included (which I bought and then didn't use).Yeah I want to try a GT500 style hood with decal but the OEM FJG/Orange hood decal is like 700-1000 dollars from Ford.... so this is a nice alternative.
Do you mind sharing a side view photo of your car showing the aftermarket rocker stripes?Yes, for example, see the image below:
