Just wondering if anyone has found what configuration would be somewhat of a squared look from the factory 19x9 255/40/19 and 19x9.5 275/40/19 on the PP1 wheels. Buying new tires soon and would like to know if anyone has a take on better sizing for performance/styling. Thanks

squared look? IDK I've always throught it was very hard to see if a setup is square or not from most angles. From the sides you only see the tire sidewalls, not the tread width, and from the front/back you can only see the tires on that one axle very well. So what are you trying to do exactly?

You can run a little wider in the front, but if you go too wide it can be detrimental to the handling feel as the wide tires will squirm and shift more on the wheel under lateral loads. I've run as wide as a 285 in the front, but that's with a tire with an unusually stiff sidewall and it was very bulgy. Obviously you can run a narrower rear, but I'm not sure why you'd want to.

Its easier to just ditch the heavy OEM wheels and do a proper square setup, like a 19x10ET35 with a 285/35R19 on all four corners. No issues there.

Curious why you want to go square tires on non-square wheels. You still won’t be able to rotate them as the offsets are different front and back I believe.

265 is probably a good compromise if you insist on going that route but like Nightmare above, why would you want to go skinnier in the rear? 275 will bulge on a 9” wheel.

SVE and Apex make really good wheels for a good price and the proper offsets for these car. Go 19x10 +35/40 all the way around with 285/35r19 tires and call it a day. You can try selling the PP wheels here or other places to help offset the cost as well.

I just went with stock sizes on mine in All season tires. Much better tires that will last a lot longer than the crappy Pirelli's mine came with. As said above, square tires on non square wheels is not a good idea, can't be rotated so I would just stick with the sizes they are designed for.

Thanks for the replies and great insights. I do have another set of 3PC wheels in 20x10 and 11 that I can run I was just curious to see if anyone had mended the oem look. For some reason the fronts just look so strange to me in stock size. Like a huge part of the fender arc isn’t fulfilled. Maybe I’m just neurotic 🤣.

Any true benefits to a square setup? Also rotation is null for me I barely drive the car so I don’t think about that.

you can go with 265/40 19 in the front on the 19x9 wheel, looks better than the 255/40 19 factory size, and michelin pilot sport all season 4 is good looking tire if want more tread wear , got mine from tire rack

I looked into this...The problem is that the PP1 has a staggered setup, with the rear rims 9.5" and the front 9" wide. So you can put the 275s on all 4 corners. However, the front rims are narrower, so if/when you rotate, those narrower rims could be on the rear. Really not worth it. You're better off getting new rims and tires or just use OEM sizes.

What I had when I had my 2016 PP1 - happened to be Project6GR wheels with a 35mm offset - perfect stance with no poke anywhere.

For daily driving I'm going to downsize my staggered HP setup (305/10.5" & 315/11") to a square setup using 19x9.5ET35 GT500 wheels and 275/40 tires all around. My car isn't lowered and would be 0.75" taller in the front and 0.6" in the rear using this combination, but pretty close to other setups that were available from the factory.
