I have since moved and my daily commute is now just about 50/50 city/highway. I see 20-22 mpg, depending on if someone decides to crash and make it 70/30 city/highway :p

I'm starting to wonder about my EB; 3200 miles in and the lifetime average is 18.4!

Even though about 90% of my daily commute is city driving, I feel like 18.4 is way too low...
2800 miles on my v6 and my average is about 16-17 (75% city / 25% hwy)

GT w/3.73 gears and manual. Turned 1K on the odo today and so far averaging 18mpg with mainly surface street and some 45-55 mph zone inter-township highway driving with lights every few miles.

Just breaking her in so far with only 600 miles on the odometer, but after my second fill up (first that counts for manual calculations) I got a 23.6 MPG. I track all of my fill ups and maintenance items on a phone app that is synced to the cloud for back up purposes. We'll see how the MPGs change with conditions and exuberance. My guess is that it will get much worse in the coming months. But I'm not complaining.
GT with PP by the way.

might be a stupid question but how do you guys calculate highway and city driving like 70/30 or 50/50 by miles on highway and city or by time spent in each im leaning more towards time but not sure

I wish I could see 17+ MPG on my GT PP (Premium). I do about a 70/30 60/40 mix mostly city. I average just under 15MPG. I took a trip to Georgia last week, had about 20 miles before I left, and it was a lot of highway. That tank averaged 19.3MPG, I was hoping to hit at least 20. I didn't buy a V8 for the gas mileage, though, so it doesn't matter too much. Just would be nice to see about 17-18MPG like some are on what seem to be similar drives. I don't get too crazy, I shift between 2.5-4K RPMS generally, generally first gear is where I go higher since it is so short. I average about 25-30MPH I believe.

EDIT: I did some skip shifting (1 to 3 or 4) for a few days and squeezed out 16.5MPG, but that wasn't worth the extra 1.5MPG... :)

Im just guessing .........I take the hwy to work in the morning M-F and it moves like a highway should, I take the hwy back from work and its stop and go every 4ft (worse then city cruising), then all other times im in the city so I figured 75/25

I'm just spit balling here, but I think there is a good way to discern how much high way vs city traffic you drive. It'll all come down to the miles vs time that the dash displays on the trip odometer. We should still hand calculate, but by comparing to time we could get another view of how we're using fuel.
For example, 23.7 MPG over 5 hours (mostly cruising on the hwy) vs 17 MPG over 10 hours (more stop and go).

In my GT - PP with 1k miles on it I average 18.1mpg.
I drive fairly conservatively for the most part with occasional bouts of hooliganism.

There are plenty of Ford EB owners (cars and trucks) that say the EcoBoost does not deliver the promised MPG. I dont think that's too low for the city, especially if it's heavy stop and go.

My previous car, a EB 2013 Fusion that typically averaged 22-25mpg (over the same commute), came a lot closer to the EPA estimates then this thing does.
Then again, I never felt the need to be heavy on the pedal in my family sedan :p

I've seen as much as 25 constant when cruising at 55 mph in 6th gear but as soon as you start hitting traffic it drops down. I tend to shift into the higher gears at lower speeds...so at times I've been at 35mph in 6th gear so long as I'm not trying to speed up or slow down. RPMs are just over 1K and the mpg gauge stays pretty high for that period of time. I think this process offsets the times I decide to floor it or run in a lower gear to listen to my Corsa sports lol.

2015 ecoboost, 3.55 gear, MT, just over 1000 miles on the clock. First tank of dealer 87 got 29 mpg on my commute which is about 90% highway. Second tank of 93 got 30 mpg and the same as the current tank. I cruise at about 70 on the highway with occasional trips to 80+.

2015 Ecoboost with 3.15's. 80% Hwy driving and 20% suburban. avg 29. I usually set the cruise at 70. I'm going to Birmingham this weekend a couple of times so I should be able to get a really good hwy average. I'm guessing it will be low 30's. Those are real calculated numbers- the trip computer is always about 1-2 mpg higher.
