San Francisco up 101 to 128, Fort Bragg. Hwy 1 up to 101 all the way up the Oregon coast to Seaside. Then to Portland and back down 5. Lots of twists and turns on the way up. Cruise control most of the way down. Wife, dog, luggage in ecoboost convertable premuim. 1488 total miles, 31 hours car time, 29.4 mpg.

By the way, the adaptive cruise control is really cool. It was the first time I got to use it. Car was a dream. Would never consider anything but the premium anymore. Can't believe I ever considered anything else.
One of the best family road trips/vacations my 4 kids talk about is the time we drove from Portland to Cannon Beach (Seaside) for a day trip. We has recently moved from Texas to Oregon so instead of going home we went South on 101. What an awesome drive. We ended up driving to San Francisco and stayed there a week.

Had a pretty good run today. Filled up a block from the house and jumped onto the freeway almost immediately. Set the cruise on 65 and drove 220 miles. 27.5 mpg indicated, the hand calculation when I fill up in the morning will probably be around 25.9.

Not bad, for a GT with 3.55 gears and 19" wheels.

Interestingly, I have kept hand calculated records from the moment that I picked it up, and have also never reset the "Trip 2" counter. The computer shows that I have averaged 22.4 mpg over 19,000 miles, while my hand calculation (actually, I use an app on my iPad) shows 22.1 over the same time period/distance. So at least in my case, while it varies a fair amount tank-by-tank, it's pretty close in the long term.

I have done the same with my car. 11,200 miles, 3.15 gears, 18-inch wheels. 24.1 mpg overall on the computer. Hand-calc is always a little less. Guess I count as a feather-foot. Or I have driven a lot of highway miles. A little of both, I think.

37.4 mpg based on TC, for a drive from Colorado Springs to Casper. Using 91 Ron gas and with the cruise control set between 65-80 miles depending on the traffic. My ecoboost has a little more than 8,000 miles.

What I noticed is a significant improvement in gas consumption after the 7000 miles.:)

I just noticed they dropped the EPA ratings on the 2016 V6 Mustang.

2015 was 19 mpg in city and 28 mpg on highway
2016 is 17 mpg in city and 28 mpg on highway

Other models mpg has remained the same. GT and eco boost.

Incorrect. 19 mpg city was the 2015 V6 w/ auto. 17 mpg city with manual. The ratings did not change between years.

Hmm. They are listing the manual mpg on their website when it comes to build and price (with no mention it is for manual only). I might be wrong but I believe they listed auto mpg the year before.

Perhaps they are trying further to knock the V6 below the ecoboost. Or could be my memory.

Not sure if its been posted here or not but you can add your car and track your mileage via fuelly.com or the fuelly app. You input your current mileage, then input the amount of gallons needed to fill up and the price per gallon. Then the next time you fill up, the website will automatically calculate your mpgs

You can also see what other people have been averaging. This is more accurate then the computer in the car.

Average MPG 12.5

I don't feel like I have driven it it hard at all (in fact I usually take it very easy), maybe a few heavy foots on freeway entrances.

Barely no highway time though.

92 octane Chevron gas.

My ongoing trip b for 2k miles is rated around 18.5. This has been both interstate and city driving. I have not taken a long enough trip to get the max but my best tank hand calculated was just under 20mpg. I'm running 87 octane and I don't run hard except for when I auto x. That stupid green bar makes me want to keep it above the line!

16.41 hand calculated since I've owned the car.

It has the performance pack and majority of my miles are stop and go traffic.
