I’ve used the VHT on other applications. The finish is not the same when it’s done. The G2 is a catalyzed system, the VHT is not. It’s not the place to try and save a 20 or two in my opinion.

Anyonoe browsing here use a hi-temp spray paing vs the G2 kits? It seems you could get more even coverage with a rattle can. Thinking something like the VHT High Temp Caliper Paint? https://www.amazon.com/VHT-ESP73100...rds=brake+caliper+paint&qid=1582902498&sr=8-6

Thats what I needed to know - was not the $$ but the effort to get good coverge with brush vs spray.

I've used it twice. The stuff is great. Won't fade even when you get the brakes so hot they're glowing. Very chip resistant as well.

More tedious to install than spray, IMHO.

Are the front rotors on fire or is that a reflection of some kind? Either way, it looks awesome! :sunglasses:

Nope, no tricks here. Glowing from heat! I believe that's the front straight at Circuit of the Americas here in Austin, TX :)

I am not a Shelby, but I saw the thread with G2 label. I had mine off the car, but they turned out well. Pics was before/after, I had to remove one of the decals and replace it, one was too low. The process though was easy overall. mine turned out extremely smooth, looks like paint. cured great. Ive had zero issues, but I just daily drive, and I go through car washes with high pressure water blowing through wheel area.

Just take time and make sure dirt/dust free and clean if you do g2, I see some people with extremely dusty/bumpy front caliper texture, not sure if its dirt or too little paint.
