Im going to ask a dumb QUESTION but I'm serious. I don't thing I need 600 whp... So I've been looking at long tubes and possibly a Ford racing pp2 or 3... In everything I've seen it doesn't look like the pp2 is a huge upgrade from the pp2... Does anyone have any advise? Also are they both a go with long tubes or does the Ford tune NOT account for that? Then there's the cobra jet question??!! Help please!

The PP3 will yield more hp than PP2, the PP3 only adds 5lbs of torque, where the PP2 adds 40lbs I believe. Pretty sure they both are compatible with LT. From what I've seen on some build threads on this forum, people who went with the CJ yielded higher hp numbers.

Thanks man... I'm thinking if n/a go Cobra Jet with long tubes then? ... But what tune? I know Lund is popular but I know vmp, lethal and steeda have some players in the 5.0 world... SO if I'm correct on the street pp2 seems like a better choice than the pp2 because of the torque? And now the CJ seems like it trumps both?

You're welcome, I'm sure some other members will offer up some advice as well. The CJ + LT will yield more hp than the PP3 + LT. AED and JDM are also great tuners, from what I've read in this forum.

PP2 has way more torque than PP3, I thought it was strange when I first learned that.

PP3 will yield more hp than PP2.

With the CJ, you'll either have to lower the engine with smaller motor mounts, or get a different hood, such as a cowl induction hood. From what I remember, the price difference isn't too far apart between the CJ set up, and the PP3. But that's just for the IM, TB and CAI. Obviously, you'll be spending more if you go the CJ route, because of the hood replacement, or motor mount replacement.

Justin... Big thanks man! Yeah I read about the motor mounts as well... I've been in a CJ and I screamed. I've never felt the pp2 or 3 though... I pretty much know for the street though NA is the best for my needs... You have the pp3 so your thoughts would be really important to me... Thanks in advance big time!

I love the PP3, I can definitely feel the difference, got it installed last week, I'll floor it, and it feels like it want to keep climbing. Getting a tune by the guys that did the install. I want to go with the CJ set up, but in CA the CJ is not carb compliant. Even the GT350 IM by itself isn't CA legal, but the PP3 is CA carb compliant. So, I went with that. I'm impressed with it.

Is anyone using the Power Pack 2 on an m6 without a clutch pedal spring? I'd really like to get this, but I don't like the spring and have read there could be issues with the No Lift Shift feature engaging due to no spring.

I have the Steeda spring, but I took it off too and strongly prefer no spring. If you must run the clutch pedal spring with the PP2, I'm not sure I'd get it.

Running mine with no spring. The NLS hasn't been an issue for me. Just shift slow or keep your foot down above 5k. It works great once you rewire your brain to keep the right foot planted.

I voted NO because I hate the No Lift Shift that bad. I am to old to be trained. Spring is on the way. Hope that helps. If not I'll prolly bite the bullit and get a real tune.

Other than the NLS the pack is great. Good power and factory drivability.

Agreed. Not a fan of the NLS cutting throttle if you don't take your foot completely off the clutch. I plan to email Ford asking if that feature can be turned off for those of us that don't do NLS.

I have stage 2 my buddy has stage 3.

Drove both cars, and you can tell the stage 3 is faster. Big torque gains after 4k rpm or so it feels. It does walk my stage 2 a little. If I had the money, i would get the stage 3 parts but not do stage 3. Get a Lund Tune, intake, and Intake manifold.

Also ford Pro CAL, cant be transferred to another car. So if you ever took this off your car, you can sell the parts, not the ford Pro Cal unit/tune

Haha it does sound like it. I assume it might have to do with the adapter but either way its not that bad.
Its for emissions. Since the intake is open, it needs to shut the throttle body completely. Since its open air, you hear it alot more. This was covered on another post in the forum as well. Enjoy your trashcan lid sound. I think its cool lol

NLS works very well for me.

So I did another install on a friends car. It's @5l0w_caballito on IG. He's running 3.31's and much like my car and another car I did the install on, it totally transformed it into beast mode. HE'll jump on the forum shortly bust based on his reaction, he'd approve.
Wish your buddy would wind it out a bit more instead of 'aggressive short shifting'. Sounds sweet though.
