Is the juice worth the squeeze? PMAS fenderwheel intake for a '20 S550 with the possibility of going FI later. Flores from Lund says yes, Wengerd is like meh. The first step is NA with LTH and an E85 tune. The only limitation I see with the PMAS is it sits right where the ESS Gen 3 wants to be (if I ever go that route).

If you decide to go fi, how soon do you think it will be before that happens? I have a PMAS (not fender well version and no tune required). I like it a lot, but the only reason I bought it was to gain clearance for my nitrous solenoids. If it hadn’t been for thst, the GT350 CAI would have served me well.

The LTHs and E85 will also be a treat!

If it gives your tuner one less thing to complain about, get it. If they are fine with the intake you already have, just keep it.

For me it was absolutely worth it, but then again I have a VMP gen3r with a kennebell 168mm monoblade throttle body.

If you plan on going FI in the future, i would say to save the money for an intake that will compliment that FI route at that time.

Minimal if any gains especially for the money.

I can barely afford LTH and a tune, much less FI.
Are you going catless or is emission testing required ?
LTH are not going to gain much especially if your FI funds are already an issue.
E85, 91/93 tune with drop in high flow filter. Roll the long tube headers into the FI slush fund program.

The PMAS works great..... once you can block off all the fan wash and under hood temps the product is great. If you are doing primary city driving the IATs will be around 135-150 but once cursing @ highway speed it will be around 120ish. It took me a handful of hours to get the PMAS setup to provide +7-+8 degrees ambient air into the gt350. I wish Steeda had the closed off airbox for the GT350.

Depends on what kind of driving you do most frequently. I personally drive in the city and my iats are very close to ambient since I still have my stock airbox.

Yeah I made a custom shroud for it and got one of those big mouth intake tubes and functional hood scoops.

Being supercharged im able to maintain ambient IAT2s or lower. Then again the interchiller kit helps too lol

Adds too much annoyance to changing/servicing the filter for such little performance gain imo

Ditto...No noticeable performance gain, even with a tune adjustment. The tiny filter retaining fasteners are not the easiest to access for regular servicing and packaging on a PP1 fender liner/undertray has interference issues. (Servicing is no sweat with the bumper removed but that gets old real quick.)
