wouldn't the snorkel limit the air flow? I was thinking if you just block off the other side of the Pmas without going all the way to the fender wall the flow of air should go directly to the PMAS and should block most of the heat out? NVM I looked at and it wouldn't work
No, it won’t limit flow because the PMAS can grab air from the inner guard area.

Not interested in the GT350 intake even if I was in the market for another one. It’s way overpriced anyways.

Again, Ford Performance has a CAI where you don't have to re-engineer it.

Had some promising results this morning. After warming up the car I only saw a 6 degree difference at 60 mph. prior to the the changes I made I would see a 20-30 degree temp difference while at highway speeds. The second picture shows my temps after getting to work and letting my car idle for 5 minutes. Again, way lower temps.

Nice - why is your gas light on when you have a little less than half a tank?

So are you having actual issues or you just see high temps and assume you are? I noticed higher temps when I ran mine but I never actually noticed any performance issues. Once the car starts moving the IATs go down quickly. I also positioned the MAF to sit inside of the box.

I’m running E85. That’s also why my AFR is in the 10’s

No performance issues so far but it hasn’t begun to get hot here yet. With the new style PMAS heat shield, the meter sits outside of the box. PMAS really needs to re design the air box.

So what does that mean? I can expect to see my gas light all the time while running E85?

People that avg 16 mpg say on E85 they only see 12mpg on E-85. So it seem right that he would be seeing the low gas lite now. I thought the light was triggered by the amount of fuel and estimated fuel consumption not just the amount that is in the tank?

lol I changed mine to that position yesterday after someone posted about the MAF being close to the radiator. I did it last night so I haven't had a chance to see if it had any affect on the temps dropping. I am at work now by the time I get off is should be mid 90's so I will take a look. Another thing that I will look at is that on me and Grabbers Photos that the MAF is right up against the rubber couple where you seem to have a inch or 2 or space. Its not much but you manage to drop it deaper in the box and is something for me to try also.

I’ve had my meter in several different positions with no change. I also have the plastic MAF housing. In regards to E-85 fuel economy, I don’t even pay attention to it. I watch AFR’s and the gas gauge. Lol. I average 10.5 to 12mpg.

No luck in the hot afternoon. It was 80 today and intake temps were 110-120 while cruising and 130+ in traffic. Hate to say it but I’m switching intakes. Looking at the Corsa and Airaid sealed intakes.
