This incident has made me think seriously about getting front and rear dashcams. If nothing else it sure would have made my original post more entertaining...
I highly recommend it. Just makes everything easier with insurance if something does happen. You'll have evidence of what happened with any accident

when someone is driving like an idiot and pacing someone in the right lane so nobody can get around on EITHER side
Oh, that is super advanced part of situational awareness skill, that only few possess. if people don't look in back mirror, they won't look around for sure.
The ones with "funny" stickers like "if you ride my ass, at least pull my hair" are especially entertaining.
The victim was unarmed in the one I'm thinking of. But he stupidity got out of his car (with his wife and two kids watching) and the other guy blasted him multiple times from his own car, laughed, and drove off
God bless America, I guess.

I’ll have to check into it. There has to be a thread on it somewhere.

Thumbs downing someone gets them more riled up than a middle finger usually does now. That's what I do if someone does something stupid around/near me
I'm thinking those giant hands you see at sporting events. We need one with the thumb extended (or middle finger) to wave outside the window in response to shameful behavior. Problem, is there a way to grip the inside so it doesn't go flying off in the 70mph wind blast?

Or we could hold up a paper plate with sad face glued to a tongue depressor. All the Vaylar ads be using that visual cue.

The problem is our society is becoming more trashy, irresponsible and reckless every day, people just don't give a $hit about behaving in a responsible and civilized manor.

We are a garbage society, and it's getting much worse very quickly.
I agree. I am more surprised now when someone is actually kind, responsible, and considerate of others. It's almost become a dinnertime conversation when it happens because it's so rare.

Same here. Most of the time in my area, if I'm being held up by a slower driver, it's a Prius. And I get a front row seat if a "Prius driver with road rage" gets triggered.

I, too, daily a Ram 1500 and I really just want to get to work and get home safely in it. It's mildly lifted with 35's so it's not wild, and I don't have/want all the extra lighting, bars, etc. hanging off it. I've noticed that the Mustang gets less attention on the road, such that I have to drive more defensively with it than in the Ram.

All that said, the road rage I see in my commuting and such is more due to people not paying attention, cutting someone off, or otherwise being a bonehead and then the comedy/tragedy ensues.
In our area, I see a lot of Teslas with aggressive driving, speeding, etc. The ones that are driving normally or below speed limit must be low on battery charge so they're trying to extend their range to make it to the next supercharger station.

LOL, good point but I think of the German s and how they know how to drive a highway with no speed limits. The biggest thing in the USA is people drive the left lane as a lane and not a passing lane thus screwing up the faster traffic. If the right lane is open with no traffic then I m in it.
Yes, that's annoying. We have 2 lane highways here and they even post signs "slower traffic keep right" and yet someone on the right is going 5 below the limit and the guy on the left is pretty much pacing him so no one can pass. I like Washington state where (at least on the freeway I saw signs) it says the left lane is for passing ONLY. So everyone passes and goes back to the right lane leaving the left open. I suppose the cops actually cite people who stay on the left and aren't technically passing a vehicle on the right lane.

I have that one as well, although I’ve yet to install it. Should probably do it sooner than later

Agreed. I just have the fitcamx for insurance purposes. Half the time I forget it's even there.

Was just looking at a few models and really like the look of that FitcamX being integrated into the rearview mirror assembly... 4K front + rear for $270, not too expensive either.

For the price it's great and it looks OEM. It has a quick picture feature too, where you can just reach up and hit a button for a snap shot of the car in front of you which I like.
