You want to have pp on your car?

Depends on what you're really trying to get out of it, but if you're tracking it, you'll be interested in the performance pack under tray, and the front control arms. The stock under tray is completely flat, while the pp has vents that raise up, and let air come at the performance pack front control arms. They've got a little plate, and by doing so, it brings lots of air in to cool the brakes down. Speaking of brakes, again, if you're tracking, you're going to want those performance pack 6 piston brake calipers and rotors, (and little bikini-esque dust shield) which are a massive improvement. If you don't track your car, chances are, you're not going to heat the brakes up to the point where you'll notice them fading, because there aren't many situations in a regular day you'd stop from 130 to 45 every 30 seconds. When I say hot, I mean like, melt your wheel weights off hot. The more optional things like Magneride are going to be extraordinarily difficult as well, but you're probably better off with an aftermarket suspension setup anyhow. It also has different rims, which you might find people selling for cheap as they're going to aftermarket wheels, or you could just get aftermarket wheels as well. If you're not tracking, chances are, those additional gauges by the AC probably don't do you much good either. The last major one is the nice LCD display, but that's not a PP thing, that comes with the 401A package which base GT's could have ordered. I probably missed some, but meh.

Without sounding like a jerk, what are you trying to get out of the upgrade? I understand there's money involved, but as somebody with a base GT, you might be better served going to aftermarket pieces that are both cheaper and better.

Wheels / tires, front brakes, radiator, bracing and some body pieces (like mentioned above), torsen differential (vs. clutch pack) with different gear ratio, some different suspension components (front control arms - tension link with air deflector and rear arm with spherical bearing) and (good luck with that) different programming / calibration for several modules. Probably forgot about something.

Not sure what that is suppose to mean? You might want to check the PP2 and have a slice of humble pie while reading

PaddyPrix is right...you should let the forum know what you want to do with the car...HPDE, autocross, daily driver, smash into people leaving Cars and Coffee...will make for more valuable recommendations.

Yeah you're not gonna do it all for the same price as what the OEM package is, if you want everything, go to your nearest dealer and trade in, lol. Given you can't do it all for a reasonable price (unless you get the pre owned gods to bless you), we need to know what you plan on doing with the car. Honestly, the main things that the PP has that are worth slapping on your car no matter what you do, are the Torsen rear end with shorter gears, the front chassis braces, and the wider wheels and better tires. Those are great improvements for everyone. So far I've just done the front chassis bracing, and even in daily driving I noticed a pleasant improvement in how the car behaves, especially on turn-in. Given I don't go to the track, I don't see the value in the much better brakes and aero stuff that the PP cars have (along with the 50% larger radiator). The torsen is mainly worth it because it has better off lockup properties than the trak lok rear end, and it doesn't wear nearly as quickly because there's no clutches doing the wheel speed management. Also worth for the shorter gear ratio in the rear end since the D4 gearbox has ratios that reach to the moon and back in height. Even better to regear with 4.09's before you slap it in.

Here are 2 questions to think about. Who will be doing the installs? If it is yourself are you an experienced mechanic and do you have the tools?

Food for thought;
If the work will be farmed out, the combined cost of parts & labor will be, plain & simple expensive. There could be a secondary hassle. Dealing with a shop that does volumes talking. Talks the talk, not able to walk the walk, lots of those out there,

The PP2 package is ruffly 7k additional cost to the Mustang. What you get are parts that fit, builders/assemblers that work and build Mustangs 40 hr a week....... No matter what anyone says there is something to be said for that.

Having a PP2 for instance as a base and upgrading the platform. Is 100 times more cost effective in the long run, not to mention much less hassle .

Just some reality to think about.

I spent about 4500 on wheels tires springs sway bars strut tower brace and g track brace. The tires are 305s in the front and 275 in the front. The car now handles like a go cart. I still need to do the brakes but I'm not tracking the car so that can wait

Everyone has responded to this with good information. In short, you can't actually upgrade your car to a PP. There are far too many components and calibration that would be required. It really is different car. It would take way too much money and effort. Trade it in for the upgraded car if things like Magneride are things you really want.

Either way having a non-PP car isn't actually a bad thing if you were intending to spend time on track. Fully adjustable coil over suspension is still the standard when you want your car to be buttoned down to the ground. The PP brakes are desirable and can be bought for around $1500 but you also have other options. https://www.lethalperformance.com/s...-ford-mustang-gt-coyote/brakes-1/brake-kits-1

There are all kinds of suspension options from springs, struts and a myriad of different brace parts that will tame the rear end. https://www.lethalperformance.com/s...2018-2019-ford-mustang-gt-coyote/suspension-1

Honestly, call us 1.877.253.8425. More than happy to answer questions and give you an idea of what you want/need.

Smaller tires on the front that on the rear on a Mustang is not conducive to good handling.... form over function....
