Actually, I am pretty set on a GT now. I just have to drive the EB and GT to be sure. But that extra power, sound, and then it hits my bucket list for cars. I have owned an NA I4, a turbo I4, I wish to own an NA V6, NA V8, and a supercharged V8 before my life is over. So if I buy the V8, I can then possibly get a supercharged V8 knocked off in a few years if I wish! In the end, it's going to be different to me because I've drive a turbo for a few years now. That's probably the largest driving factor in my choice. But hey, maybe the 10% faster the GT is won't matter to me once I drive it. :)
NA V6s aren't any great experience for the most part. Not saying they are bad... but I've owned V6s most of my life and they are just... cars. Rarely exciting. Sound okay, but not great. Faster than the NA 4's but nothing special. Even had that same 3.7L motor they put in the Mustang in a base model F150.

I've had it with NA V6s, personally. Turbo-4 or V8 from here on out. Both of those at least provide gobs of low-end torque. And me... I like torque.

Anyway, if you go GT, you're going to have a blast. You would with an EB too but... the GT is just a great car.

When I first started looking into a new car, the genesis coupe looked very attractive to me, lots of HP from that v6. Maybe a v6 can be crossed off from my list with the v8 since it's obviously going to be a much better/more fun configuration. I wouldn't mind a GTR. That twin turbo v6 is amazing.:eyebulge:

Turbo V6s are a very different animal. The Ecoboost 3.5L V6 in the F150s is a monster. I'd happily take a Mustang with a Turbo V6 like that and never look back. But, alas, it's not on the table.

But yeah, NA V6s are just... meh, if you ask me. Not bad, but not exciting. Nothing I'd have on a bucket list. Turbo-4s and NA V8s, on the other hand, are a very different proposition. This is my second turbo-4 car, and I've always like the torquey nature of a good turbo-4.

But I've never owned a V8, so my next car must be an 8 cylinder.

That reminds me, I hope we start seeing more twin turbo V8s in the next few years - P1 is just a tad outta my budget

Don't be a woman. GT with a 6 speed.
You do realize that the automatic is also a 6 speed right?

I like the manual better too, but I think you need to be a little clearer than that.

Don't forget the new Ford GT is a V6. And the Nissan GTR. Women won't laugh at either of those. But, point taken where the Mustang is concerned.

Ah, but what if your woman has to drive it semi-frequently?

Nah. I still regret going auto this time around. Next time it's back to manual and if she doesn't want to learn -- great. I don't have to worry about her accidentally putting 87 octane in the tank (which drops my HP like 20-30). Just cleared that crap out of the tank yesterday, finally.

Get the stick.

Everyone knows a REAL muscle car has a V12 or W16. Come on.

Of course they aren't. But they are not cars women would laugh at either.

Okay, so I inquired a nearby driving school about a lesson for manual driving. If it's not too much, I will go through with it before I test drive the cars, and if it works out, I'll get a manual. ;)
