This sounds exactly right. My initial impressions when seeing the damage was that it looks like damage that you'd get from driving in unfavourable conditions. And the fact that your mileage is signifcantly different than before, I'd say it sounds like someone took it for a joyride.

Got flashed for just my regular headlights once already, tapped my highbeams to let him know it wasn't even half as bad as it could be. All the lights on this car are pretty bright, but I tend to think that's more of a positive than a negative. I feel safer in a lot of situations because of it.

Drivetrain yes, but it looks like the extra bits, especially the wheels and tires make all the difference.

I actually rather like the black rocket, especially the rear. Not crazy about the front, but I think the back is gorgeous. The red one is gross though, looks like a hotwheels car.
