Oh I remembered now, does the EB have as much wheel hop as the GT? Every video I see of the GT, anytime someone hits the gas theres a ton of wheel hop.
I have driven a GTPP since October and I push this car HARD and have had no issues with wheel hop. Normal road surfaces don't have enough grip (there may be a few exceptions) that you will notice any issues on daily commutes. Since you sound like you aren't going to mod you probably will not track so I would say don't worry about it.

Thanks for the information! I figured it would not be too noticeable, but the main fun I get in a car is by accelerating quickly. Not too many twisty roads around here, and the speed limit is 55 for most stretches around here. So going hard from a light or up an on ramp is where I am going to have my fun. I think the steeda kit is like 1400 or something anyway, I could just do one mod... But it seems to be addictive after watching people who mod.

This thread again, my favorite!
You enjoy people suffering when trying to decide between getting what their heart tells them, and being an adult and putting on the big boy pants and buying the more financially responsible option?

Oh, one more thing. The 435 hp from the 5.0, that's on 93 octane right? Can it be rune on 89 octane?

Honestly you will not notice it even with heavy pulls. I have tons of places I get to do full throttle 0-80 pulls from lights everyday and don't have issues. You can do the $1400 steeda upgrade but drive it for a while first before you spend more money.

Yeah, I will give it a few months probably. I just don't like that sound from the hop. And it will have to wait, because I won't have 1400 to spend on the car for a few months anyway. Haha.

Keep the Audi for the winter and get the base GT. Best of both worlds!

I'm actually in the same boat you are. I have a mint, paid off Acura TL with all the luxury features I could desire. She's been good to me so I'm going to keep her for the long haul. Her new roommate will be a base GT hopefully in another year for all the RWD V8 madness I can handle!

Actually, you bring up a great point I never even thought of. Ideally I am keeping the audi anyway. So the heated seats won't matter in the winter, since I won't be driving it. Not sure why I never thought of that myself... Been too focused on the new car. A base model might just work, I'll have to see what the interior is like.

Not really, I enjoy the entertaining infighting on the forum which is what always happens. People are going to tell you what they bought is the best option all day so there is no point.

Whatever you get I recommend getting the PP.

As for wheel hop on the EB. Yes if you launch it hard at the track. On the street not so much. As mentioned many times already I wouldn't worry about it. I'm at 9k miles. I've only ever wheel hopped launching at the track.

I want the PP! But alas, the car will be an automatic. I need to use it as a daily driver for much of the year, and i'm too lazy to deal with the clutch in traffic for half an hour after I get out of a 16 hour shift at work.

Sounds like an Auto EB (premium) w/PP is for you

Being AWD, the Audi will fare better in the winter than the RWD Mustang. The Mustang could then stay inside and remain unsalted when it snows. Also, since the premium pack is a $4,000 upgrade they might offer you less than that on your trade since it's almost 13 years old.. look at it as a free car!

Wait, the EB auto can come with the PP? Why can't the GTPP be had with an auto? I still think a GT with no PP might be more fun than the EBPP.

I love my base model with track pack. The only thing I'm not happy with is the stereo, but I can upgrade that cheap. Drive a non pp and pp car back to back before you decide. For 2500 bucks it's an no brainer option
