It's a low-budget mid-life crisis vehicle - for some. If I fit in a Miata I would consider it as a lower-budget alternative now that IMO Mustang isn't very low-budget anymore.

Every single person that has come up to me and commented on my S550s falls under one of these two categories:

1. Middle-Aged Man
2. Teenage/Early 20s Male

I never paid attention and probably more but I only remember one complete stranger complementing and it was a man at a busy gas station on I40 in New Mexico who said he loved my new Audi (pre stripes). Many comments and compliments from women I vaguely know, friends of friends type of deal and maybe one fourth as many from men I vaguely know.

I can only assume the lack of comments by strangers has more to do with the "Born to KIll You" T-shirt I wear all the time.

I'm smaller at 6'4" and weigh a little less, but the times I've been in a Miata I wasn't happy, except with the top down. I rode in the passenger seat in one at my local track and in just a few laps I hit my helmet on the roof and roll bar way too many times, and that was slouched down in the seat with the seat all the way back and my knees up in the air.

6' 4" as well with a long back, drove a friends Lotus Elise in Manchester in the 90s, had to put the roof down, the sun visor down and look out over the top of the windshield

My Porsche attracted lots of attention, 40% male and 60% female. My Mustang attracts much less attention and mostly 40 - 50 YO males. Mustang attention makes me uncomfortable.

Mostly low profile with my RS3. Had a couple of folks pay admiring comments. Biggest PIA are the folks with a muffler on their car that try to impress you. The one time I did do a roll was against someone with a C8. Tried to wave him off several times until we did it. Pretty much destroyed him and never left 3rd gear. That was fun
Almost 65 now and retiring for good in next 12 months.
This is my fun car and that's all that matter
