Hi all,

As some of you know I have had some interesting times with my car in the sense of tuning. Anything from 14+ revisions to software issues (on their end) to local tuners just doing a piss poor job and ghosting; to only come around when Discover comes into play... and, sadly, I know I am not the only person -here- who has had issues such as this. Any ways...

I have a Procharged car: P1x HO stage 2 kit, manifold, FIC1000's, Kook long tubes with cats and more. Well I decided to go back to PBD (after Rob left) since they had a good deal if I came back - $400 for two major revisions in 18 months time. Heck yeah! I knew off the back I wanted to dial my system further with my 2018+ manifold, then upgrade to my Holley ultra-low ram + GT350 throttle body.

I got linked with Koby Shabtay. Not sure if he's good (haven't heard much about him) or just using my car as a test subject. I don't want this to sound poor but there are times I do wonder if I am dealing with a professional. So much back-and-fourth; or "that wouldn't happen in our tune;" till I prove him other wise, then POOF, next revision it's fixed. Anywho, I'm not here to bash but I am once again getting the same feeling as before while he's tuning my Holley IM / GT350 TB. Had throttle body issues, he told me to get another -done- said there was a manifold installation issue so I pulled everything and installed it -done-. Still issues, so I installed ALL new (and thicker) oring -done- and redid the log process per his request.

Is this normal guys?

I feel like I am on my last thread...

I'd run and get another tuner ASAP!
I have a blown motor when he was my tuner. Never again.

My indy, who builds and drag races 3000HP pro-mods among other ordinary auto repairs, had my 2019 GT 15K miles with a Procharger stage II installed and on his Mustang dyno. Live with PBD and he keeps telling them "car needs more fuel". They ask, "how much gas in the tank!" WTF!!!

He has dyno'd many cars, bikes, sleds, etc. Tells them again needs more fuel as the A/F is high under boost. All they cared about was the lambda that the ECU tells them vs his 35 years of experience. BOOM!!!

As you sign your life away, which you do with any tuner/dyno session, PBD wouldn't do anything to help me and GHOSTED me for weeks after when I called and used their ticket system to get them to help me in any way or at least admit they are somewhat responsible for the blown motor. Nope. No joy. Never again.

After $12K for new long block, labor, new tuner, etc. car runs well now. Next spring after break in and proper tuning weather it should be all set. Car is fast now. Maybe too fast!! LOL!!

No way!! I have already mentioned to him about fueling and all sorts of little issues here and there, but just doesn’t seem to get resolved unless I pester him a lot. So far I have waited at least a week for a revision (which I suppose isn’t awful).

This just made me more undecided on who to go with. Seems like everyone now dislikes all the major guys.
I know they’re a pita… but Lund racing is pretty solid. Just don’t ask for a bunch of dumb stuff. They’re pretty no nonsense. I’ve been running them for over 60k miles in my 2020. I have had 0 issues the entire time. Engine is happy and healthy. It’s your decision at the end of the day. I had VMP on my 2019 and they were decent, I just had an issue with the trans tuning. Like I said, your choice.

Lund gets a ton of hate on this forum but after 2 cars and lots of different modifications I have never once had an issue with them.

I’m dealing with PBD now and my biggest problem is they don’t listen when you make request, and give you very short answers when they do respond. Most of the local performance shop have dropped PBD and picked up LUND, Ortiz’s and juggernaut for their tuners.

This is exactly what is going on. There was a time I didn’t want to do a WOT pull (even minor) when Koby asked me to but I was hesitant since the car wasn’t feeling good as is - like why?! But I’m no tuner so I did it and he came back saying it wasn’t good; no šŸ’©

I have watched some of his past videos (not him personally) and the cars seems very ā€˜very’ tame. Like he’s not pushing anything - low to mid 600s on a boost application like 10psi. Hard for me to stomach. Maybe they were just older videos and he’s out making a name for himself now.

Sorry to hear of your problems. I know you heard this before but; RUN, Go With Wengerd, or another reputable tuner people on this sight have used and recommends, and never look back.
