Well im running a comparable setup i believe if your on 93 pump gas. Mine feels superb, of course its not a positive displacement feel, but the way it is, it pulls like a damn rocket up top, could i have more? Of course. But that needs e85 to be safe, ive heard of the 780whp range on our setups but those are really really really pushing reliability problems! I highly suggest if you want the 800+whp, just make e85 work. Thats my plan in the future. Most of us ess guys LOVE wengerd, the car just simply loves the tune, drives great almost like stock on the low end, up top it becomes a jet and feels strong. There is also of course the almost instant response time from him, i cant recommend him enough.
Lund will tune for lower boost and hp than wengerd will by 1 psi on pump gas.
pbd will probably blow your motor
Others i dont have enough experience with but with centri setups, wengerd been superb!

for your mph issue, get forscan. Im sure you can calculate what you need on an online calculator, or make a post herefor someone to do it, and just forscan code the difference! I dont believe any tuner can do that for you, different part of the coding
Good read. Thanks!

I’ll give Wengerd a call/email and see if he can tune my build as well as help once I install my fuel system for e85.

Hi all,

As some of you know I have had some interesting times with my car in the sense of tuning. Anything from 14+ revisions to software issues (on their end) to local tuners just doing a piss poor job and ghosting; to only come around when Discover comes into play... and, sadly, I know I am not the only person -here- who has had issues such as this. Any ways...

I have a Procharged car: P1x HO stage 2 kit, manifold, FIC1000's, Kook long tubes with cats and more. Well I decided to go back to PBD (after Rob left) since they had a good deal if I came back - $400 for two major revisions in 18 months time. Heck yeah! I knew off the back I wanted to dial my system further with my 2018+ manifold, then upgrade to my Holley ultra-low ram + GT350 throttle body.

I got linked with Koby Shabtay. Not sure if he's good (haven't heard much about him) or just using my car as a test subject. I don't want this to sound poor but there are times I do wonder if I am dealing with a professional. So much back-and-fourth; or "that wouldn't happen in our tune;" till I prove him other wise, then POOF, next revision it's fixed. Anywho, I'm not here to bash but I am once again getting the same feeling as before while he's tuning my Holley IM / GT350 TB. Had throttle body issues, he told me to get another -done- said there was a manifold installation issue so I pulled everything and installed it -done-. Still issues, so I installed ALL new (and thicker) oring -done- and redid the log process per his request.

Is this normal guys?

I feel like I am on my last thread...
Go Wengered Performance 👍🙌🏁

Wengered is a badass Tuner 👍👍 he's also revised some sort of VCT tuning for even more powah! My car is an animal on pump gas. We had a drop in temp here and Miami and the car responded even better. Still breaking in my new RXT clutch. Cant wait to give it some nice hard pulls 🏁

I have watched some of his past videos (not him personally) and the cars seems very ‘very’ tame. Like he’s not pushing anything - low to mid 600s on a boost application like 10psi. Hard for me to stomach. Maybe they were just older videos and he’s out making a name for himself now.
Wengerd tuned. These pulls are using a correction factor of 20% to account for the DA of 7,054 feet at the time. This pulley would make around 13-14 PSI at sea level. Not really what I would consider "tame".

@KKell83 just curious, have you been able to sort out all the problems with the car you bought yet? I read about your issues a while back... felt bad for you. Not sure how much money you had to throw at the car but hopefully you still want to keep it.

Hey buddy! I appreciate the reply/concern. Let’s just say it’s always in limbo… never has been awful and never has been good. But, I’m to the point that I just have to enjoy the car versus selling it and starting over. I personally feel like I have a good amount of -quality- parts in her so I’m here for the long haul.

I haven’t been able to truly enjoy the car in two years, if anything that’s what is getting to me the most.

I've used a few different tuners and while Ortiz has been great to deal with and has had solid performing tunes, I keep coming back to OzTuning who is really big in the truck market. He doesn't necessarily go for the utmost power figure that can be rung out of a setup but he does make them run and drive as cleanly and perfect as possible. His drivability vs the others I've used is like a nuclear bomb to a hand grenade, of them is simply much better at that job

Since you have a manual 2016 I would like some video if you ever have the time.

Im personally running about 700whp(still need to dyno to check exactly) on about 10psi on 93 pump gas with ess kit, it took us 2 revisions and it was 100% spot on, quick responses, he does exactly what ya ask for and maybe he doesnt push insane numbers, however remember pbd has a record for blowing motors up. Pbd usually pushes too far for safety on cars driven on the street. Wengerd has a super super smooth drivability tune that makes some serious sauce for what ya have, if you want 850whp then sorry you need to have the mods for it, any tuner that forcefully tunes power is a terrible tuner.
On a side note, videos also arent good representations of tunes. A stock 460hp mustang with a tune will feel a million times better than a stock tune 460hp mustang just from the way the car drives and feels when tuned. If you really want more hp than you already make, its very possible you just need better fueling and more boost instead of asking for more from the current setup and lower fueling
Do you have any videos of you ripping through the gears?

What tuner did you use for your eco. I have one of those also.
There is a guy up in Wisconsin who specializes in the eco in the explorer ST and he is the top dawg for that platform. He can do a tune for any ecoboost platform.

I have a 93 tune from him in my explorer ST and a whipple intercooler and with an E30 mix in the tank my 5000+ lb SUV ran a [email protected] mph and a 3.75 0-60. Yes you read that right low 12's on a stock 5000 lb suv with just a tune and intercooler. His drivability is spot on along with his trans tuning. He only tunes with HP tuning devices. He will have you data log and send it back to him and send as many revisions as you need until your happy.

For reference, when the ST was bone stock with the factory intercooler and factory tune it ran a 13.72

Yes, wengerd did a great job on a simple setup like mine, soon i plan on getting a dyno to see the numbers. I think my stock clutch isnt holding the top end but well see!

I spoke with Wengerd already and he said that he could tune my setup no problem, which is cool but if I go this route I spent an overall of like 3 grand in tunes. 😓
