Some youtuber jackass said so. But in reality he got taken for a ride when the dealer did a 160 buck 5w50 oil change on his car, instead of the 60 buck 5w20 oil change.

The link in post #44 (pg.3) is worth reading to those that may have passed over it.

Yeah I read that. Pretty sure voodoo's use the same OE gear, every supercharged roush car uses the same OE gears, Manuel Gomez runs 7's on a factory sealed 1039 whp coyote zero issues. Alejandro Flores beats on his shit on OE gears as long as with every other LUND R&D vehicle. So there's that.

Full synthetic 5w50 is the oil I'm using in my cars from now on. The reason for that is I drive my cars hard. I don't worry about gas mileage. and I can't use z85 because where my other home is it's not offered. The idea of using 93 or torco is a great idea. Another guy suggested adding a little e85 if it's available to a 93 tune which could be helpful but I don't know enough about it.

But back to the question at hand, I'm not doing opgs.

I’d be interested in knowing exactly at what RPM’s the Coyote motors experience critical speed.

The smart guys know exactly where and how many critical speed points are through the RPM range.

The smart guys know to stay away from those points and power through them as fast as possible or even design the ignition curve to reduce the load at those point until the motor RPMs passes through that point.

So it’s safe to say the antidotal evidence says OPG are NOT needed.

IMO the OPG money would be much better spent on a fuel system to run E. 93 has kill far more of these boosted engines.
Gen 3 doesn't really need fuel system for E85, unless we're throwing boost at it in addition.

Well I ain't the smartest, well far from the smartest, but in my little bit of grey matter 0-10000 RPM and all the little 'crittle points of speed' in between you're good.

There’s nothing little about critical speed points.
Those points are highly destructive forces.
Back to my question, at what points along the Coyote RPM range do the critical speed demons get excited ?

So...get rid of the rev limit and stay below 10K RPM and no need for OPG replacement.

Well you provided they link, do the math.
Nope.

We’re talking Engine Dynamometer Cell testing with a full array of vibration sensors.
You know the stuff the Smart guys do at the OEM or Professional racing level.
