Expendable income. That would be nice.

I had the FRPP/Roush blower installed on my '15 and when I asked the shop about the OPG, they basically said they'd be glad to take my money but had never seen one fail on a street car.....so I chose to pay for the overall drivetrain warranty offered by Roush that covers the OPG....among other things. I might regret it one day, but it won't be the first time I second-guessed myself.
My point is everyone has an opinion and the best thing to do is go with your gut.
Valid point but not all shops are aware of the failure rate of the gears, sometimes you don't even hear about the ones that failed. When I read of a couple of failures that was enough of a reason for me to buy them, basically if you break the gears your motor is done. I think the people that put emphasis on you don't need them or they haven't heard of any failures are just trying to justify there decision on not putting them in, I've found that anytime you try to convince yourself of something you usually have made the wrong choice.

Then you see cars like the panda with a 2.3 TVS on spray banging off a 2 step with a completely stock bottom end lol. I put a damper on to go along with my gt350 manifold, but if I went with boost and was spending over 6k, another 1k in insurance isn't a bad idea.
