Will be mostly street car with occasional track day. Certainly not seeing me bouncing off the rev limiter. What year and is it an Automatic or 6 speed? I personally do not have the reliability statistics for SC 5.0 at low boost but, this subject has been talked about allot. I would do what your conscence tells you to do, otherwise you will be worrying about them every time you start your car. Are you going to track, drag raced pinging off the rev limiter etc?
Don’t overthink it. If you don’t intend to bounce off the rev limiter, then you will be fine without OPGs.Will be mostly street car with occasional track day. Certainly not seeing me bouncing off the rev limiter.
Is this something you can do down the road? I dont know how comfortable I am replacing them, and if I do I have heard alot of mixed reviews on what to replace it with.
If I had the front of the engine open, I would knock them out right away. Cheap insurance. Will be mostly street car with occasional track day. Certainly not seeing me bouncing off the rev limiter.

I can only tell you, their are quite a few people pushing more HP and never had issues with them failing. I know Ford/Roush on their PD cars Do Not Replace them. That was from my Ford Performance Rep. In fact, unless an owner ask for the OPG/CS to ne replaced when His Ford dealership installs a Whipple, Roush etc, they Do Not Replace them. As far as replacing them, if your not an experienced mechanic I would not do myself Unless I had help from one. Will be mostly street car with occasional track day. Certainly not seeing me bouncing off the rev limiter.
