OK How many on Mustang 6g forums, have the HOTS for ordering a new GT 350 and which car would it be the GT 350-S or the GT 350-R...... I must admit, I all ready have the HOTS for one of the new GT 350 cars, was talking with the Ford Dealer today.... I would have to go with white, with blue stripes..... Old school look..... And yes have only had my new GT since 11-05-2014 the day it was delivered...... Thanks Old Car Guy :ford: John

Just curious... Why wouldn't you just make your car as fast as/ looking like / as quality build as a GT 350 and save close to 10 grand I assume by not paying for ford to do it for you?

I know the heritage and nostalgia and genuinity won't be there... I get that... But man.. You can make yours better for less..

I enjoy the modding phase.. I would never buy a car I don't want to touch with mods.. That wouldn't be right

IMO of course

I want that engine. You can add a blower to the Coyote, do various bolt ons, internals, etc., but that Voodoo sounds like a riot with a crazy redline.

I want everything that makes it different. I just do my best to ignore the existence of both. They'd only be a reality as a used model in future land. :(

I wouldn't say I have the hots for it...but I will say it's all that my eyes can see now. Lucky for me, I didn't buy the new stang when it came out partially because of finances, partially because I heard something else was coming in a year. I feel that if I can't afford it I will go to a regular GT, but at this point I am so far into this beast that a regular GT would be "settling" for me. I just as soon rather wait longer for a used one if I have to though I think my finances are in line enough to get it as soon as they are available.

If I was you though, I would be trying to ignore conversation and pics of this at all costs...no way could I take a hit on the car I just bought to try to get into this. I see where u would have that dilemma...this thing is gonna be NUTS

This [emoji106] it's different, its unique, it's new, it's gonna be mine whatever it takes lol

I to just received my gt pp in December and definitely want the gt350. So much so I put a deposit on the first one to be ordered at my dealer. Only problem is since I'm selling or trading this one in I don't want to mod it which is no fun because I want to bolt a blower on. Which may still happen. Not sure I can fight the urge.

The blue bold text says it all - that engine makes the model, closely followed by the brakes, MagneRide, and front part of the car. That's what I would pay Ford to do for me!

There are a lot of "IFs" that have to be satisfied, but I am extremely interested in making ANOTHER S550 Mustang purchase. And I am NOT getting rid of my GT - I enjoy it too much!

The GT350 has everything I would want to do to my car, and honestly it's probably cheaper than if I tried to do it all myself via the aftermarket. A full Coyote build can come close to $10,000 all by itself(FRPP block, ported heads, forged rotating assembly, cams, CJ intake.......), then we are talking upgraded trans, suspension(MagnaRide aftermarket? I doubt it), brakes, wheels/tires, then all the things that you can't simply buy and bolt on like the aero/bodywork.

I definitely love the GT350, and hope it's available in liquid blue (street version). I'm saving my pennies for one, unless maybe Ford comes out with a killer Mach1.
As Grimace stated, you could not add the GT350 options to a std GT for less money. You can make a std GT 'faster' than a 350 for less, but it wouldn't be 'better', and at the end of the day when you sold your modded GT you'd lose your ass, not so with a 350.

And that brings up the issue of starting points.

You can Mod a GT to be faster.

But then you can mod the 350 to blow the doors off that modded GT. If that's your thing.

Just can't get enuff!
GT350 or the R for me.... it'll replace my '12 Boss 302 and will share garage space next to my C7 Z06. I'm glad I waited... but if that new Ford GT comes in around 150-160K'ish (wishful thinking) then that's gonna be effin tempting.

Yeah that Gt350 looks awesome. Just hope they sell it starting low 50's. But i would love to see Ford bring back the Mach 1 again. Had an 03, miss it. I would jump ibto a Mach 1 right away if Ford made it. Does anybody know if they are coming out with the Mach 1?
