guys need some help. I had a oil pressure low fault reading come out on my dash. I checked My oil level and it was fine. So I changed the oil pressure sending unit and still have the same fault. Any one else got this issue? What should I do guys.
thanks for the help in advance

Do you have a 5.0 or a 5.2? Your vehicles list shows a 5.0, but you posted this on the GT350 thread. Might get better response on the 5.0 thread.

Any it really doesn't matter. Take it in and have it fixed. Especially if you have a 17 or newer GT350 still under warranty.

What's a gray market import - a boxed and shipped vehicle with no paperwork?

Sorry
For being vague gray market means personal import by owner the Philippines never got the Shelby gt350 only the gt models but we just got this year the gt500 Shelby now all those who importers any car that is not via dealership are not honoring the Warrenty at all this is the only draw back of personal importing units

Oh ok - thanks for the clarification.

When you changed the oil psi sensor - did you also reset the codes? If not, the fault code may remain present even with a new sensor.

If you did clear the codes after the new sensor installation, then I would make sure that the harness to the sensor is not damaged or that it is totally secure on the sensor. A loose or damaged wire will trip a fault code because the PCM sees a "break" in the communication being relayed from the sensor.

Is it possible that the sensor you installed is also faulty - yes, it does happen.

If you have a good OBD Port scanner to pull codes from the car - most also have a "live readout" function that will display many, many other sensor functions while the car is at idle. Plug scanner into your OBD port under the dash, start the car, go to "live mode" and see what it shows for the oil psi. That's another way to read multiple sensors on the engine too, instead of the few available in the dashboard display.

To determine if a sensor is bad off the car you can use a multimeter to "ohm" it to see if when touching the pins, if it will display the proper value for a working sensor. If the value is out of spec + or - of an acceptable range of what it should be, then the sensor is bad.

This site discusses how to test multiple types of oil psi switches:
https://support.wellandpower.net/hc...9177-How-can-you-test-an-oil-pressure-switch-

If you're still having doubts while performing "electrical" oil psi tests or results - remove the sensor from the block and install the proper thread/size and length of Auto Meter stainless steel fluid line. Hook the other end directly to a 2" Auto Meter mechanical oil psi gauge. Rest the gauge out of the way of anything rotational in the engine bay. Start vehicle and monitor oil psi on the gauge. Monitor at stone cold/idle, normal op temp at idle, and RPM @ X-Rev events or if the gauge can be secured outside of the hood,, monitor while driving @ X-speed/X-RPM.

Yes we cleared all faults the low oil pressure only comes out when we slow downs or on a stop and indicated on the gauges
