Since the 2019 has a different block, does that mean the pressure readings would be different? Mine are reading 125 at start and goes down to just below 100 after it warms up. Is that to high? Just wondering what other 2019 owners are getting.

Thanks.

Edit: I have been checking the oil levels and no issues after 1,500 miles.

Mine is a 2018, not 2019, but your pressures are about what mine does on the street. On the track when the oil gets real hot (~270 degrees), it goes down to about 85.

I hope this helps!

Thanks. From other post it seemed I was to high.

My 2017 doesn't have anywhere near that much pressure at idle when hot. I use Motorcraft oil, 8,000 miles, no useage or other issues. Maybe they upped it in recent model years.

Yeah I agree that 2019 engines are producing much higher oil pressure.

2017 Engine on AMSOIL
Cold Idle: 75 PSI
Cold Throttle: 100 PSI
Hot Idle: 25 PSI
Hot Throttle: 75 PSI

2019 Engine on Motorcraft
Cold Idle: 100 PSI
Cold Throttle: 125 PSI
Hot Idle: 50 PSI
Hot Throttle: 100 PSI

Who ever said anything about idle. I certainly didn't. The pressures I gave were at operating RPMs. Idling oil pressure is relatively irrelevant, in any event.

My 2018 exhibits the same pressures as those listed for the 2019.

meanwhile 5.0's are at like 15 psi at hot idle with 5w20. I think I have about 17-18 psi hot on 0w30.

Same for my 2017. Usually ~100psi at idle on a cold start, and at operating temps it's around 100psi at moderate RPMs. I have not tracked transient pressures while on track but I think the oiling system in these engines is pretty robust against lateral and longitudinal g loads.

Checked my early 2017 yesterday. Hot idle was 45. At 2500 rpm while hot it was about 90 - 95.

Don't know who's post you were responding to - but it wasn't mine. But since you brought it up I did post my hot idle pressure today.

A lot of the variation you see in these posts depends on how many miles that you have on the oil in question. You new people will notice that new oil will develop 15 to 20% more pressure under the same circumstances as oil with say 5,000 miles on it and more variance from hot to cold. Very obvious after an oil change and a good indicator of the viscosity breakdown.
My 2016 shows the same pressures as listed for the new cars.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.

With a fresh oil change, this is exactly the readings I have in my 2017.

My 2017 R with 3500 miles idles between 25-50 psi and hot throttle between 75-100 psi.
