Reading through the thread I may have to change up my plans... Will this work out? Also keep in mind I will be doing some autocross with the car, nothing competitive so I'm not worried about classing issues. When I want to get competitive I'll get a dedicated wheel/tire set up for Autox.

Current Plan: 19x9.5 +35 Niche Misano w/ 285/35/19 on all 4 corners

Would I benefit from going to a 10" wheel with 285s? I really like the Misano but it doesn't come in a 19x10 as far as I know. I'm not buying them tomorrow so I have time to shop around as well, want to get the right set up.
widest I would go on a 9.5 is 275, and thats pushing it. 10" would get your 285s enough rim width to properlyy fit without bulging sidewall

Yeah, 19.6mm is way too much (little) offset with those 1" spacers, the 8mm should work better for the fronts. Remember less is more with wheel offsets.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to trying the 8mm on the front with nothing in the back.

Concerning what is in bold, the car handles so much better with a beefier squared setup. Last night I reset my accelerometer before I hit a 270 degree freeway onramp after a 2~ mile drive after the car had been sitting in the mid 60's. Tires had definitely not warmed up in mid 60's weather in the slow traffic 2 mile drive if that to the freeway. I hit .96 and would have hit a lot higher but I came up on the car in front of me. I know I had A LOT more grip left. These cars are transformed by just lowering them and going squared. I can't wait to put on my Steeda suspension stuff.

brotha the 19" comes in the widest as the 19x9.5 ET 35 and a 285 tire is perfectly fine for the wheels.

You can also rock a 5 mm spacer if you want, make sure if you do the 8 mm count the amount of turns you get on the lug nut you want about 6-7 to be safe.

From what I can tell, you can mix/match all combinations of 275/285 tires on 9.5/10" wide rims with no problems. It is 3/8" variance in tire width on 1/2" variance of wheel width.

So what is nice about this particular wheel/tire width range, is that you don't have to feel limited in wheel choice by that last 1/2" width, or in tire choice by that last 3/8" width.

The biggest difference is in the diameter.

Sounds good thanks for the input everyone! I'm glad I won't have to change my plans!

Next dilemma, Autox set-up, but that's for another day probably next year.

im thinking sve drifts 9.5 square..think there 35 offset. going lowered on cjpp springs 1.5 drop front ...1 inch rear.
was thinking 275/40 or 275/35 tire wise .. thinking the 40 might be to high for the fronts.
im at non pp car so i dont have to worry about clearing the calipers . dont see there being a problem with that setup.. im just stuck on what tire size lol

Forgestar CF10's 19x11 with 305/30's.
No issues at all, works great. Street handling is great, with a little tram lining, hope to do a track day soon to see how they do when pushed to the limit.

^^this is the winner, but without offsets, it's a moot point.

(and yes, I know this is the car Cortex set up with some specially goodies)

Too get the fitment where I was happy (285x35 square).......I had to add a 5mm spacer in the rear and a 7mm spacer up front (along with camber bolts). I have camber at -1.5 all around.
Can go a little lower if I wanted. Limited by the front fender well.

I'll post some pictures when I get some time to wash the car but I'm running 285/35/19 re11s on FS cf5v's +35 et. Squared is the way to go, I'm on stock suspension and the car is so much more predictable, no longer fighting between front and rear grip, I can focus strictly on rear grip for the most part now.
