Official Square Setup Picture / Specs / Handling Characteristics Thread

Soooo I have yet to see a square setup-dedicated thread. Yes I've tried search, which yields 4 topics on square setups, all not the same as this.

I'm TRYING to decide between square or staggered. I'm a handling guy and I handle oversteer better than understeer. I seem to naturally adjust to oversteer without issue but have to come out of the unconscious to deal with understeer, which I suppose can be "made worse" by the wrong staggered setup, according to my research.

Anywho... I'm not seeing very many square setups on our S550s.

- Size and offsets
- How does it handle?
- Fitment issues?

MRR GF9 19x9.5 wrapped in 275/40/19 and lowered on Eibach sport line. I'm not 100% sure on the offset but I think it's 30.

Once the newly painted brakes go on.....I'll be running a square setup with 20x10 +45 Advan GT's with Michelin Super Sports (285x35x20). Fitment seems to be spot on so far. I'll know for sure in 12 hours.

5mm spacers in the front

corners like a dream. any tire in the world is better than the stock pirellis, so instant grip going with better tires.

the squared setup makes the car feel more neutral, maybe a little more leaning towards oversteer (with my aftermarket sway bar settings). the stock performance pack felt like it was struggling to keep traction entering a corner and fighting understeer big time, only to then oversteer when you get the front hooked. not a very confident inspiring feeling. with squared i can turn in hard, and exit corners at a higher speed.

these cars are nose heavy. you need more tire up front!!

Niche Verona 19x9.5 35mm offset, stock 255/40/19 Pzeros. Handles and rides great! Going to a 275/40 when these tires need to be replaced.

Stock springs (stock ride height)? And that's a non-pp gt, right?

Can anyone tell me if a stock GT PP rear and tyre (9.5j x 19", offset 52.5, fitted with 275/40 R19 tyre) will fit on the front without a spacer? Sounds like it might not clear the strut. I'm thinking of using stock PP rears front and rear, maybe with a 15mm spacer all round. Stock appearance but more neutral handling and better wheel arch filling.

From the UK; hoping my car arrives in the next few days after 12 month ordering wait!
