Right, I was speculating as to there the implementation is missing/ incomplete, Sync, iOS or both.Only works with AA
I had an error at the end of my install, worked fine (and my .LIC was in the correct folder). The map update is giving me a LST_ERR05 error...
Head over to the map thread for info on error codes. The map update is giving me a LST_ERR05 error...
Yes, but I "un-zipped" the license file and it doesn't like that. After I dropped the complete file into the "MySync" folder it worked. Took 30 minutes to load the maps.Did you put the license in the SyncMyRide folder?
Are we talking about SYNC updates or map updates? SYNC updates are free.Same for me. Did the 1.18 in February got 1.19 in June for free.
So it was a RTFM issue.Yes, but I "un-zipped" the license file and it doesn't like that. After I dropped the complete file into the "MySync" folder it worked. Took 30 minutes to load the maps.

Just kidding. The directions certainly do not make it easy. Glad you finally got it done and in only 30 minutes. Mine took 1 1/12 hours. Go figure.I want to say it’s 3 years or 3 updates. Something like that anyway. Not sure if they've come out and specifically said what the plan for NA is. I think EU and ANZ is something like 5 years free?IIRC you get one free update. The next one is at discounted rate. All the rest are full price.
30 minutes? Go check it (IVSU Versions), you skipped some of the install for sure with a time that low I'd wager.Yes, but I "un-zipped" the license file and it doesn't like that. After I dropped the complete file into the "MySync" folder it worked. Took 30 minutes to load the maps.
The 1.18 update took about 20-25 minutes for me. 1.19 seems to be a similar size. I also just did the Sync3 3.4 update this afternoon and it was done in about 10 minutes - I put a 12 minute YouTube video to watch on my phone while the install was going, only got to 9:34 before the update finished and the screen rebooted. I think a lot of the install time discrepancies between users on here could have to do with the quality of flash drives being used.30 minutes? OK, thanks. My 1.18 & 1.19 updates were free as were the ones for my wife’s 18’ Escape.Map updates.
Check your IVSU Versions to make sure it’s all there. Even with a quality drive that just seems too short for a map update, especially with the chunked format. Not saying you’re wrong, just half of the fastest time I’ve personally seen. The 1.18 update took about 20-25 minutes for me. 1.19 seems to be a similar size. Mine probably took 35 minutes rather that the 30 I stated. I am using a high performance USB stick. My Sync update was similar at about 30 minutes. Sync showed 3.4 when updated and the maps showed NA 119 when updated. The 1.18 update took about 20-25 minutes for me. 1.19 seems to be a similar size. Interesting. I agree with UofM. Check your versions. I also used a high speed USB 3 stick and my first reboot occurred at approximately the 30 minute mark. I’ve never had a map update take only 30 minutes.Mine probably took 35 minutes rather that the 30 I stated. I am using a high performance USB stick. My Sync update was similar at about 30 minutes. This. If the measly 3.4 update took as long there’s about a 0% chance it completed fully.Interesting. I agree with UofM. Check your versions. I also used a high speed USB 3 stick and my first reboot occurred at approximately the 30 minute mark. I’ve never had a map update take only 30 minutes.
