Kind of similar to what they had in the article:

I think it'd be pretty cool but would probably price a lot of us out. Here's a rendering I saw a while back that I really liked.

I really like this rendering. A lot of Ford GT styling cues.

It’s not just GT styling cues. It IS a Ford GT with a GT500 front end and CF wheels tacked on. No way a mythical mid engine Mustang looks like this. It also wouldn’t have the exact same front end as an S550 GT500. People that do renders like this have no imagination.

It's a concept, one persons idea. Use your imagination if you think differently. But the real question is whether or not you would entertain a mid engine Mustang? Could be a V8, maybe not. Most likely auto or dual clutch but maybe not. Most likely $90-110K but maybe more or less. This is for all of those who think the C7/C8 is truly a competitor for a S550/650 Mustang.

I love the current gen GT and S550 so I’m good with the lack of imagination in that rendering.

In my opinion it would be too close to the ford GT as well and they already have one that is V6 TT so I doubt they would make a V8 version especially with emissions getting tougher to keep up with.

I know what I think. :puke:

Ford wants to bring back/revamp the Ford GT, great. It would be awesome but not a Mustang.

I'd like to see the Mustang get smaller and lighter. Maybe about the size of the early 90s BMWs. Tight yet still with a semi functional rear seat.

Never heard of a "mid-engine" car... what is this crazy concept, and what does it mean?

I like the idea of a mid engine Mustang. NA or Hybrid V8 would be preferred. I’d also prefer they keep a front engine version available as an “affordable” option as I would assume at a minimum a mid engine Mustang is Corvette money. Mustang had always been an affordable pony/sports car and I’d hate to see that disappear.

If you don't like the idea of a mid-engine performance car, then you need to drive one. I have a Corvair that has a mid-engine, had an Acura NSX, and if the wait wasn't so long, I would have bought a 2020 C8. They are a blast to drive and track.
