So my original ps4s are officially toast and was looking to upgrade to a bit of a better track tire. For my birthday and ahead of my next track day I ordered some RS4 but now realize I may have gotten the wrong size...... I ordered 4 275/35r19 which on hankooks website fit the mach-1 non hp rims. After hitting purchase I read conflicting reviews in the diameter being a fit.

So did I just waste a bunch of money or will these tires work and not cause a performance issue.

Thanks in advance for the help!

What wheels are you putting them on?

275/35 is a little short, but not that big of a deal. I ran one set of 275/35R19 back a few years ago. Short tires are free lowering without giving up suspension travel and shorter gearing can help the torque to the road.

I have the non-hp so wheels are 9.5 in the front and 10 in the rear. Hearing my "mistake" might lead to better performance is a huge sigh of relieve.

How did the tire size workout for you nightmaremoon?

In general, 275 will be just fine on 9.5 and 10” wheels. Some run narrower than others but as long as your wheel width is within the manufacturer specs you should be good. Check Tire Rack, they will tell you the measuring rim width for that specific tire. I’d be willing to bet it was 9.5”

275/35s were absolutely fine. I went to wider tires for marginally better heat capacity but I’ve run square sets of 275/35R19, 285/35R19, 305/30R19, 315/30R19, and 315/30R18. On 9/9.5, 10”, 11”, and 11/12” setups. The RS4 you got will work fine.

Check tire-rack sometimes they have 4 year old tires cheap. I almost got trofeos for $140 ea 264-40-19 just for fun.

Wait till they arrive and check the clearance. Fingers crossed they'll fit and perform well for your track day!
