When I've had the symptoms, which I originally attributed to the car being hot from sitting in the sun (might still be a factor), the most annoying issue was I couldn't select the drive mode I wanted (the screen said something like 'This feature disabled' or 'unavailable'). I usually use 'MyMode,' which is just Sport Mode with the quietest muffler setting. I didn't worry about the nannies, I've driven for over 50 years without them.

I didn't think I'd use rev matching, but I tried it and liked it (heel-and-toe isn't particularly easy in the car). It never occurred to me to turn it off, the relationship didn't seem obvious. Sure wish Drive Mode was sticky, too; throttle response is lame in default mode, which can be a problem.

I just got off the phone with a Ford Performance tech.
He said in order to apply the PCM recall fix it must be done as follows:

1. Inform the service advisor of the FP tune when you take the car in and bring your Procal4 device and ODB cable. You will need to work with the tech to ensure he knows this and that the vehicle CANNOT be started until the FP tune is re-flashed.
2. Drive the vehicle to the service bay and shut off the engine.
3. Re-flash the PCM back to stock using the Procal4 device. DO NOT start engine.
4. Dealer may then apply the PCM recall fix. DO NOT start engine.
5. Re-flash the FP tune back to the PCM.
6. Start engine and procedure should be complete.

I tell you, I don't think it's worth the hassle of going through all that and the potential for something to go wrong. Now, if you are experiencing issues like the recall is describing and you can't live with it, I would say go for it.
I'm curious how it impacts the stock tune since the recall doesn't impact '22 model year cars if we will end up down ten horsepower and torque.

Ford likely discovered the issue and newest 2022 year cars already have the fix.
I think it's safe to say your car will still make the same power post update.

GREAT NEWS - my Mustang is back home...!!!!!
2 Months of not being able to drive it and nearly 6 weeks at the dealership.
Local Service Centre gave up with the Ford Engineers and started getting serious themselves.
Found the Wiring Harness had rubbed through on the steering column, 2 wires shorting to ground intermittently.
Harness had not been wrapped from the factory.
It only took 4,000km and 5 months to rub through the insulation on the wires.

I have the Ford Racing Power Kit, I was afraid of this. I am having no issues. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If I get the symptoms I will deal with it then.

Not yet. Had gotten an email about it from Carfax though like 3 weeks ago almost. They were on it lol.

"Dangerous?"

How the hell did we drive before all the nannies? When my car did it, it was an annoyance and usually cleared itself in a few miles; the worst part was not being able to set a drive mode.

Check your states lemon law. Most states have a 30 day total at dealership (out of service)law that once hit requires ford to either buy back or replace the vehicle.

The 30days doesn't have to be consecutive in most states but total within the lemon period.

No Lemon Laws in Australia.

Local Ford Techs found the problem.
Wiring harness rubbed thru on Steering Column, not wrapped properly from factory
