Sure, but that's the first suggestion of there being a 3.4 release for cars that didn't ship with it ... I'm cautiously optimistic :D
Sorry!!!!

This was from February 11th.

Dear Ira,

Thank you for contacting the In-Vehicle Technology Team.

Than you for your feedback and patience regarding the map update. We do not have an official release date for the next software update.

They have no clue.

I'm taking my car into the dealer (*cringe*) to get a few minor things looked at on Friday. The service advisor over the phone said they'll do the map update no problem. Anyone else have experience just having the dealership do the update? It seems like the simplest way for me, especially since I haven't done an update yet, and I was taking the car in regardless.

Other than needing the car to idle for an hour or so you should be fine.

Serously??? If that's the case, I'll probably pass on it then. I use CarPlay for everything anyways.

Yes, that’s the amount of time for the map update. The engine has to be running for all Sync updates. People do it all the time. I do it when I know I’ll be on the road for the time it takes.

Here is a screenshot of how the files look on the USB that I had no problem installing with the 1.18 maps.
Hey man, I have exactly the same number of files than you do, but aren't we missing the important autoinstall and dontindx files??? I couldn't find them. So how is it going to get installed? I had those when I did my 2018 F-150 Platinum, with Sync 3.0. Maybe the Sync 3.3 doesn't need them anymore? Hopefully you can respond quickly, so I can get started with the update. Oh, and does it show 1.19 maps now? Thx.

EDIT: Damn. Tried to copy the license file into the SyncMyRide folder, and it didn't let me. Throws an error that the zip file is corrupted. WTF? It shows that it's transferring 15 files, but can only see 14. So apparently there's a hidden file somewhere. I remember dealing with something like that, but no idea what the heck I did back then. Do you have any idea? Thx.

I just edited my post. Couldn't transfer the license file into the SyncMyRide folder; throws an error that is corrupted. Damn. I'm copying the file into the USB now, but it says 15 files are transferring, and I only see 14. So there's a hidden file. Remember dealing with that with the truck, for forgot what it was. Any ideas how to get around the file not copying into the folder? Thx. And should I make the hidden file visible, and how? Not familiar with this stupid Windows 10.

Leave it invisible.. the system will pull it. I was able to put the license file in. I think there is a specific sequence you need to use before adding the license.

Indeed. Once the SyncMyRide folder was transferred to the USB, no problem sticking the map file in there. Thank you for your help anyway :). Also found the other 2 files, by the way, so now I have the SyncMyRide folder, and the autoinstall and dontindx files, so it's ready to go :D. Did you guys did it with the ignition on+charger, or went for a ride?

I hooked up a battery charger to my battery and pushed the start button, but did not start the car. I stayed with the car for about 15 mins and then just checked on it every 15 mins or twice. total time to install was about 45 mins. Yep as easy as that.

Going to do the same right now. Thanks brother. Will keep you posted. It took 48 minutes on the F-150, and of course the ignition cut off at exactly 45 minutes, but I happened to be there, and turned it back on immediately, and the process wasn't interrupted. I'll be sure to be there around that time again, but it's like 100-deg in there. Ha ha.

EDIT: It updated SiriusXM before starting with the maps. Hope it doesn't block me; I still have 4+ months left. After a few more questions, it seems to be going well. Will check every 15 minutes too.
