Yeah, I know just wasn’t going through 300 posts to find it. But I think I found your issue. You seem to have an outdated license file. I see a call to Ford in your future.

OK, so this confirms that the current USB works for 3.0. Need Ed to confirm his version. Feel like we are finally on track.

I may have spoken too soon. I gave up after 90 minutes and turned off the car. Somehow the update process got hung up.

but before i get too far ahead of myself.. i still need to see that screenshot of "NA1 19" on the 'about sync' screen from someone before im convinced i dont have 1.19 already and just not showing..

you mentioned a couple other times previously about "diagnostic bezel mode" or something and you can see what version you have? how would i do this? got a link or some more info?

Update: I deleted the new license file from my usb, downloaded the same new license file, copied the new license file to the usb. Yes, I know, that should not change anything....

But, I now have the Updating System Software message for several minutes so far on the car display, whereas earlier this morning that same message flashed on the screen for about one second. More later.....

Today mine is not showing an option for a download. Seems like every day it shows something different. Right now, can't even log into the Ford.com site.

Update: I deleted the new license file from my usb, downloaded the same new license file, copied the new license file to the usb. Yes, I know, that should not change anything....

You got it. Here are the screens I got after upgrading from 1.17 to 1.18. Honestly these look like Sync update files but Ford told me I had 1.18 so who knows.

^^^ I would say just use the "About Sync" Screen. It will show which update is "supposedly" loaded.

But that was the whole point. 3.3 had a bug that showed 1.17 whether you had it or 1.18. I was told, by Ford, the only way to tell was through Bezel Diagnostics. Who knows what 3.3 shows for 1.19

Well....went thru the update process. I still have 1 18 showing, and now my nav voice commands don’t work....so, FAILURE!!!!!

I wasn't trying to be a knucklehead but if only Ford knows which line in the diagnostic means it has the most recent upgrade, it doesn't do us a lot of good unless that line is pointed out in some way.
