Odd comparison to make as the R888R hasn't been relevant in years.
That being said, I think it's safe to assume this new Hoosier will blow the R888R out of the water in every aspect.
I will give them a hard look "IF" these tires show they perform better in "No Warm Up Conditions" for maximum grip in straight forward and quick turning manuvering situations such as spirited driving on the street would require. I have to say though, besides this forum, shops around here like Slate Performance who build 1000hp street Cars on a regular basis just told me they only use and recommend R888R tires only, until some "Shows/proves to them" their is a better, no warm up tires, which provides better grip/performance.I know where Doug was going with that and I was interested to see what response he got ...
What would be your recommendation for the best track tyre, for (dry) use on the street, that's available in 20", in typical mustang widths and profiles ?
Cheers,
