275 on the sidewall means diddly squat. It's like the '5' in '5w30', it means nothing.

Some "275" tires have tread width of 8.7 and section of 11.1". Others are 8.9" and 10.9". Sure they'll fit on a 9 and won't roll the bead off, but that is not the same thing as working correctly or "well". The Federals run wider than their stated "size" would seem to indicate.

Bumping this up as I've had 2 seasons of this tire and just now discovered PTS sells these in 305/30/19 size which is perfect for 11" wide wheels.

They are holding up very very well as far as longevity. I've done 10 track days on them and some 300 street miles and they are still at 6/32nds of tread life. I thought that they came with 9 and were about halfway to 3 when I would toss them. But no, they come with 7/32nds brand new so these are just barely 25% worn. Now I will preface that I'm not the fastest driver out there, but still I go on and take these tires 6-7/10ths for the full 20 minutes each session and they are lasting.

As far as grip, they are pretty good. Not great like other 200TW offerings, but similar if not better than P4Ss that I had previously. They also take heat pretty well and they don't drop off like a rock after a few laps.

I have had many sets of 595 rs/rr and a few sets of the RS pro's. The pro's seam to turn in a little sharper but I would say they are similar. They are not the best for a blazing fast single lap but they are great for HPDE / Test and tune days. I would assume they are decent autocross tires and would probably last a long time in that environment. The reason I like them is purely budget. They last 6 track days (30 heat cycles) with my current setup and they are a few hundred less than something like a Faulken RT660.
