Like I said in my other thread I did not end up getting a C8 to replace the Bullitt because I did not fit. So instead I decided to upgrade my commuter! Introducing my 2023 Civic Type R 😁 This car is amazing! The handling, the power delivery, the interior... just everything about it is fantastic. I was worried it may just completely take over the Bullitt's time share but I have found that the Bullitt still occupies the areas where this car doesnt. The Bullitt is definitely faster, louder, and the looks are so much more subtle. For the first time in my life I believe my garage is complete. I have a hot hatchback that can carve up the canyons and a grand tourer that will pin the speedometer like it was nothing!

Hope you enjoy the pics!

You've gotta love that a Honda comes in Grabber Blue. 😃
Yeah, I know that's not what Honda calls it. But that's what it is on this forum. 😁

The civic type R has always been a favorite of mine. Lots of fun to drive! Love the color!

Welcome to the club. I picked up my 24 at the end of December. The only thing I don't love is the gas mileage. The Type R has a drinking problem...

That's pretty ironic for a Honda Civic, isn't it? 😄

I've lived with that irony in a 2008 Evo X. It's rather pudgy for a compact 4-door (3589 lbs) has the friction of multiple gearboxes, and every gear but 1st is short as ****
People who don't know what it is assume it gets about 30mpg, and it's more like 21mpg in regular driving. I can squeeze out 25 on the highway.
Then it's 14mpg or less on a track day.

Exactly! If I'm really conservative its hovering around 21-22.5, but the second you get above 3k-4k RPM's which is literally every time I drive it the mpg drops like a rock. I've seen as low as 13 mpg on a tank. lol
