I daily drive my mustang and even with everything on it and modded on highway and occassionally city I get better gas mileage than that.. I can eek out nearly 16+ on track days, 17-18.9mpg in city driving only (21 one time when I was being super conservative…lead foot I have) and if its highway I can get somewhere between 31-34 if I am careful. This is on 19x11s.

Once I hit 40.4mpg on a trip down south when I was still on stock 17s.

Mind you this is a V6.

That's pretty ironic for a Honda Civic, isn't it? šŸ˜„

I've lived with that irony in a 2008 Evo X. It's rather pudgy for a compact 4-door (3589 lbs) has the friction of multiple gearboxes, and every gear but 1st is short as ****
People who don't know what it is assume it gets about 30mpg, and it's more like 21mpg in regular driving. I can squeeze out 25 on the highway.
Then it's 14mpg or less on a track day.

They need to lob off the rear doors and bring back the CRX in an ā€œRā€ version….

Some updates on the build! Got some parts from Japan (Mugen is the brand, think of it like Shelby or Roush), changed out the red floor mats, and upgraded the shift knob to a weighted one with Alcantara (no more burnt palms!)

Like I said in my other thread I did not end up getting a C8 to replace the Bullitt because I did not fit. So instead I decided to upgrade my commuter! Introducing my 2023 Civic Type R 😁 This car is amazing! The handling, the power delivery, the interior... just everything about it is fantastic. I was worried it may just completely take over the Bullitt's time share but I have found that the Bullitt still occupies the areas where this car doesnt. The Bullitt is definitely faster, louder, and the looks are so much more subtle. For the first time in my life I believe my garage is complete. I have a hot hatchback that can carve up the canyons and a grand tourer that will pin the speedometer like it was nothing!

Hope you enjoy the pics!
