Contemplating on ordering another GT…I miss rowing gears but I absolutely hate the MT-82 but I may just bite the bullet and do it. The last couple of A10’s I’ve had hadn’t exactly been trouble free either.

Has anyone had any QC issues with a 23’ they’ve ordered? Figured I’d ask since it’s the last run of the S550.

Order banks for MY23 are now closed. But there are 23s on the lots getting some good discounts.

MY23 was abbreviated, to make way for the S650.

If you do find something, please return and let us know what you bought.

Regards the MT-82 I think its really hit and miss. Plenty of people are very happy with theirs. Others not so much. You would hope being the last run most bugs are fixed.

Not what I was told yesterday by the owner of the dealership. But I’ll double check this morning just to be 100% certain.

You could consider the trip to Granger. Their pricing is great and they have Mach 1s in stock that would have the Tremec.

Personally I'm happy with my MT-82, but I know it was changed in 2018.

Yeah I asked about that yesterday but they said it wouldn’t be an issue. We shall see if they can actually do it or not.
If they can change up a stock order for you that would be awesome. But as Skye mentioned, order banks have been closed for months and by all accounts S550 production will finish at the end of March/early April. Job 1 for S650 is April 11 or thereabouts. If it’s not scheduled to be built by the end of this month, it’s not happening so be prepared to look for 2022 & 2023 on dealer lots (there’s still 2022’s out there below sticker)

Lots of 2022's out there, and the discounting dealers are marking them down like crazy.
Check out https://www.ourismanfordofmanassas.com/new-inventory/index.htm for some examples.

Should be able to use that with your local dealer as a discount argument based on market.
Think 8-10% below MSRP on a 2022 should be doable if you do some legwork.

Unless you have to have a new car, and if you wanted a well equipped GT, anyway, I’d consider a slightly used Mach 1, which is the superior car. There are low mileage (like under 3k) non HP examples with plenty of warranty left out there for $48-53k, depending on how they are optioned. Just saw a 2021 with 900 miles go for 51,700 on BaT. Sticker was almost 60k, so a good deal.

Inventories are building, interest rates are rising, demand is cooling. Buyer friendly deals will be coming back. Shop around. The local Ford dealer had 4 new Broncos on their lot, dealer stock, and not sold. Each had a $7,500 market adjustment above MSRP. They had a base Mustang GT and it had $5,000 market adjustment on it. Hopefully these market adjustments will come to an end quickly.

As for the MT-82, I have one in my 22 GT. I would have really liked a Mach1 with a Tremec. However, so far the MT-82 has done its job very well for me. I'll qualify that by saying, I don't track it, autocross it, or drag race it. I also have no plans or intentions of putting a supercharger on it either. I like rowing the gears on some spirited driving but nothing too crazy and it has worked perfectly fine.

The 19+ MT-82 with rev matching is solid, they fixed the quality issues. from previous versions. Most the issues people still have are about the rubber bushing used for the shifter mount or the shifter itself. Both of which are easy to replace.
