Except only the P100D can outrun a ZL1, and then, only the first couple of runs while at full charge. After a few runs, even the P100D is SLOWWWW. Check the latest Car and Driver test: 1/4 mile in ~16 seconds after just a few passes. The P85D can run an 11.6 at full charge, but only traps 115 mph, which means the ZL1 and the A10 GT will beat it from a roll, even at full charge.Buy a Tesla

Um, no. They do not.Steeda does Camaro too.
Yes, electric will crush gas once battery tech and charging gets better.Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous+ achieves record 2.28-second 0-60 mph and 10.5-sec 1/4 mile in new Motor Trend tests.
But, it isn't really the acceleration, it's how sudden it is. You be moving very slowly, totally quiet and peaceful. All of a sudden, it feels like you just got rear ended by a semi!
Remember, EVERYTHING on the interweb is true haha.Um, no. They do not.

i should have been more precise. Not under the Steeda banner, but that of LSR Performance.Um, no. They do not.
Electric/ICEYes, electric will crush gas once battery tech and charging gets better.
Yeah. Instant torque. C&D got 10.7 @ 125 mph for the Tesla Model S Performance. Very quick. But, by the 3rd run it was high 13s, by the 6th run it was 15.5ish seconds. The Tesla is quick due to instant torque and AWD, once or twice. People only hear about the quick 0-60 time on full charge with AWD, they don't hear about the same car going 0-60 in 7 seconds because it is not at full charge. However, it only traps 125 mph even on full charge. The A10 ZL1 traps 125 mph even though it only runs mid 11s (lower traction from a dig), and is pulling harder above 100 mph than the Tesla Model S P100D even on a full charge. I realize the higher end Teslas kick you in the rear when you nail the throttle. But their slow trap speeds compared to their e.t. don't really impress me. The massive drop off in performance after only a couple of runs don't impress me. I am confident that my stock A10 GT (120 mph trap speed per C&D) would take any random P100D I run into on the street from a roll, and most likely from a dig, because it will likely not have a full charge. Just one man's opinion. Now, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, however, color me impressed (repeatedly can achieve sub 12 sec runs for 15 runs in a row). Although it bugs me how they call it a Turbo, considering there's no exhaust driven Turbo on the car.Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous+ achieves record 2.28-second 0-60 mph and 10.5-sec 1/4 mile in new Motor Trend tests.

ALA salt flats, drive it full throttle for 6 miles, then turn around and drive it back 6 miles at full throttle. Where's your P100D now (IF you actually made it back)? Or take it on a road course, see how that works out. Anyone can go fast in the 1/4 mile. But I guess that's how Americans measure performace.. get to the end of the quarter in the quickest time possible. Try that with your woman while getting kinky and soon she'll be hitting up the road course guy haha.Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous+ achieves record 2.28-second 0-60 mph and 10.5-sec 1/4 mile in new Motor Trend tests.
Electric/ICE
Automatic/manual
Two arguments that are unlikely to sway ingrained opinions...
I believe the change will come but it won't come easily or completely for a couple of generations. Maybe not even then. Automatics have taken over the market yet there are still die hard that refuse to drive anything except a stick shift. And others won't drive one without the sound/feel on an ICe, as evidenced by some on this forum who discount anything a V8 as not really being a Mustang.Disagree, I think people will definitely change their minds ...
