My cat died from a heart attack tonight

He’s indoor outdoor, we was gone for a few hours and came home and found him on the rug on way to my room, warm. He had a heart attack from the fireworks. He had a little bit of urine on his leg, like he was running and scared is what I can gather

my heart is broken. He was 5 and healthy as can be, my room mate just saw him few hours earlier before he fell asleep.

walked in and saw him laying there, not a mark on his body. Absolutely broke my heart. I’m destroyed right now. He’s been afraid with all the Juneteenth fireworks and the recent fireworks but he usually cuddles on me and gf to calm down but we wasn’t here.

He may of been inside the entire time as well after they started going off, my neighborhood has just been firework heavy since Juneteenth til now. I wish he didn’t die this way. Just terrible

Awww man that sucks. Few years ago My cat died in a fire. Couldn't find her cause she hid. Cats tend to do that. Her body wasn't burnt so we figured she just inhaled a bunch of smoke. Kind of a blessing cause she probably didn't feel anything.

Donald I’m really sorry about your cat. They are like our children. My last cat Bucky, died of a heart attack. I blamed myself because I had just brought him home from the vet which he hated. Don’t blame yourself, it’s out of our hands.

Sad news, sorry. The wife and I have had several cats over the 30+ years we've been married. Some had to be put down for merciful reasons, or we had a couple hit by cars. Most live long lives, and we end up with new ones that are rescues from the streets. If they show up, the wife feeds them. It's finally quieted down from the fireworks here, now I have to round up the outside strays we have...

Sorry for your loss, my GF just put here 11 yo. dog down two weeks ago.

I am not sure which is worse, finding pets dead, or having to take them to that last vet visit..

my daughters were 4 & 3 when our yellow lab died and I told them he was buried at the beach because he loved swimming in the ocean. It wasn’t until my oldest was 10 when she asked if he was really buried at the beach; like admitting there is no Santa.

I Know as a kid I liked fireworks, now I hate them for the way they terrify so many of our furry family.
