Sorry to hear about your buddy. It's the worst day of being a pet owner. The worst one for me was our 17-year-old tom Lucy, still bothers me three years later. Pets really are family members.

Yep we think it was a coyote or bobcat. He started venturing off from the yard and we moved to a place with more wildlife. Recently we have been restricting him going out at night but looks like it was still too early in the morning to avoid them.
We had a big old tom that came with us to our current home in the country back in 2003, first cat I personally ever had as a pet. A year later he disappeared after going out for the night (which he HAD to do). He was extremely territorial, not to mention getting old, and my guess is either a raccoon or coyote took him out.

My worry is I won't find another like him. We have 2 other cats who just don't have the best personalities. Jack was really human-like, he had the personality of a dog more than a cat.
Cats all have slightly different personalities, but I've found they're all pretty smart. In my opinion the males tend to be more dog-like. Chances are you'll find another, some of the best we've had were shelter cats.

Sorry to hear and I feel your pain. Had to say goodbye to a male tuxedo cat as well; Roswell who was our daughter’s cat but ended up staying with us forever when she moved out. He was 15 and was in nearly perfect health but developed a big tumor in his abdomen. Heartbreaking and it never gets easier to say goodbye. 😔

So sorry to hear. It is very tough losing a family member. I lost my girl Rubicon Four Wheel Drive. ( ya that was her name ) 15 years old. Love to ride on the dash of the motorhome going camping. Smartest cat ive ever had. I'm still messed up. We have alot of kind people on this forum. You'll get through this with the help of friends and family.

Sorry for your loss.

Losing a furry child is always tough.

I dont think I've ever had 2 cats with the same personality. Some traits of my current guys do remind me of some previous ones though. Wide range of personalities out there for sure.

You may not find a clone, but a whole new adventure in a different direction. As long as they dont have bad habits/attitude, another furry friend in the future will always be a welcomed relationship.

Again, my condolences.
