I think it's as good as it's going to get for the money. They've done a remarkable job with how affordable it is already.

Its not so much the material its the choices they made. Pick Premium trim option and you upgrade 50% of the faux leather stitching into "real" leather stitching. Why not the two sides of the center stack ? Would only make sense, now it just seems half finished...

Not saying everything needs to be real leather or really nice soft touch material, just do not understand some of the choices they made... I mean faux leather stitching really ? Not going to fool anyone, rather it just have no faux stitching at all.

400 Dollars for the Premium trim. I would pay more for these issues to be fixed, and seeing how many Dollars people spend on Mods on these cars I bet many other would as well.

Next time there is an auto show in your area, sit in some "luxury cars" and feel every piece in the interior. I think you'll be surprised at how many still have hard center consoles and lower door panels--it's not at all uncommon.

Personally, for the $400 or so it adds to the price, I feel like the premier trim probably should've just been standard. Is $400 really going to put the car out of reach for anyone? That would eliminate a lot of huge more common interior complaints I see about this car.

With that said, I personally love the interior of the car, and find it extremely competitive for the price.
What exactly does the premier trim change? I heard it has softer leather, but I don't know what else.

Contrast stitching, soft touch door inserts, different leather pattern on seats.

If you saw a 50 AP, it's that minus the seats saying 50 years.

Yes, you get actual contrasting stitching on the dash brows, softer materials for the upper door panels and center console lid (along with contrasting stitching there), nicer quality seat leather, and matching leather for the door card inserts. It's really a no brainer at $400.

For those complaining about the gauges, go sit in a $40,000 BMW, and tell me what you think...

Personally I think the interior is awesome. You can always find something to complain about but there isn't much for me.

The new interior for the Camaro is not ugly, but the Mustangs is superior IMO. Plus, I don't care how good the interior might be there's no hiding the atrocity on the outside.

Not enough that if you didn't already know the difference you would not notice. The tops of the door panels have a soft touch finish. The dash pads have actual stitching instead of it being molded in. The leather on the seats is softer (not sure if that is a good thing from a durability stand point). It's also the only way to get a red interior.

A guy at work has a 50th anniversary appearance package car. I had checked it out, wasn't until I read on of these threads on the premier trim that I had to go back and check. It's really no big deal.

I agree the S550 interior is 100 times nicer than the outgoing S197. It's a budget sports car not a Ferrari. There are limits to materials while staying in a price range.

And I think the new Camaro interior is ugly and poorly designed in many aspects. It's very plain with nothing on the passenger side to balance it out, and looks like an 16 year old designed the interior for teenagers vs 20-40 year olds. It's way too cheesy looking like a cartoon interior.

Camaro interior. Hah, based off of the C7 Corvette. Chevy is GM . Nuff said. Ford will tweak the S550 interior .My guess 2018 model year. I like the new interior and i still own an S197 2014 as well. Mustang is bang for the buck. The car offers a lot for its price, that includes 2016 GT 350.:headbang:

I have the dark saddle interior on my Magnetic PP. So far everybody loves the car, but they get blown away by the interior. For the price point I can't complain it's more upscale that I expected. It's all about managing expectations.

Yep. It was actually when I sat in a Magnetic with Dark Saddle interior that I was sold on upgrading to the GT Premium. Originally was going to go with base GT and had been considering Premium for the 8" screen, but dark saddle interior sealed the deal. S550 is perfect blend of performance + interior quality for the price.

The problem is people get consumed by competing against everything and everyone. Nothing is good enough if something is better.

Thats always gonna be the problem. Each new car has something different or better. I'm just happy the UK is getting the mustang finally as it's always been one of my favourite cars.
