Did the global close work?
As I activated that also in Forscan but couldn't get it to close.
If you are referring to the auto locking when you drive off, yes it works - but once activated in Forscan you also need to find the new menu option in the digi dash and activate it (the option appears below the 'auto unlock' tick box) :like:

Has anyone tried the Hood struts from AliExpress?
After a lot of bad experiences off AliExpress there is no way I’d trust cheap Chinese bonnet struts on my Mustang. I’d be constantly paranoid it would fail and damage the bonnet.

Cheap plastic bits you can stick on yes but anything important I would avoid AliExpress

Yeah I think you're right, it would be hard to trust it to hold such a heavy hood.

I activated this but it doesn’t work
We lack the hardware for global close so unfortunately it'll never be an option without purchasing a third party module.

With regards to oil pressure I'm doing some research but it appears that you need to get it turned on by a tuner as the PCM (ECU) controls IT which forscan can't do.

I'm going to have a look at the weekend to see if we have the hardware...

Small mod done today, I’ve been waiting for these to come back in stock for months now so snapped up a pair as soon as they landed.

GT500 style sideskirt extensions

There is literally no point washing the car in this weather, hence its shocking state. It is going in to Extreme Gleam to be detailed on Monday with a few extra tweaks booked too so watch this space

These sideskirt extensions are really good quality and fit really well. I did add 3M VHB trim tape to the install along with cleaning and degreasing the sideskirt to ensure a good bond.

Some initial pictures below but I’ll follow up with some better pictures next week when she’s gleaming again !

I really like the super aggressive styling and look. You can’t tell from the picture but the wider stance lines up perfectly with the spaced front wheel alignment too

I noticed recently some etching on the paint that I couldn’t remove whereby it had lost some of its shine also and didn’t want to damage the expensive ceramic coating.

So I dropped it back to Extreme Gleam for them to look at and sort it out. As always the guys there didn’t disappoint the results are great and I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Ironically the best picture to show the depth of the shine was taken outside their unit and not with a pretty background !

Not sure what the etching was to be honest. The guys thought it might from leaving a cleaning product on too long and to bake in the sun, but I’m not sure as I’m careful not to wash in the full sun or heat.

Either way it’s sorted now and looks great again so I’m happy. Also the ceramic coating did its job well and wasn’t compromised by this thankfully.
